On Thursday 21st September 7-9pm I’ll be teaching a 2 hour workshop @o_pioneersuk Marylebone; I will teach you how to craft a unique ‘silver-portal’ ring using the lost-wax casting techique in the intimate & magical setting of OP dress shop! After the workshop your chosen creation will be taken to London’s Hatton garden to be cast in sterling silver! And voila, you’ll have made beautiful momento to creativity and escapism as well a very personal piece of jewellery to wear forever! ✨ ….It always feels a little bit magic to wear an OP dress .. like in wearing one you are partially whisked off to another world where everything is just a little bit more ✨… I find the same sense of palpably magical enjoyment in making and teaching this special #DBAworkshop … ✨ 🎟️ >>>> The booking link and further workshop information can be found in DBA bio under ‘events’! <<<< 🎟️ Btw - This is a workshop suitable for all levels of maker, no prior silver-work experience required. What alchemy is this?! 🕯️ Levitating red-ribboned candles and miniature iris adorn the table for an evening of silver jewellery creation… using the lost wax method, this kind of making feels plausibly magic! @dba__workshops

🕯️ Very much looking forward to creating some magical winter workshops 🕯️ Bookings are now open ❤️ Workshop series example: Lost-wax jewellery making …under the glow of candle light. Join Alice for a gentle, hands-on workshop exploring the ancient art of lost-wax casting and create your own silver talisman to keep or gift. In this intimate session, you’ll be introduced to the tools and techniques of wax carving, guided slowly through the process of shaping a design that feels meaningful to you. There’s space here for intuition, for happy accidents, the wax ‘formers’ can be made and remade with careful sculpting, or melted into organic serendipitous designs… you can play until until you are happy with your piece. No experience is needed just curiosity and a desire to make. Once your wax piece is complete, Alice will take it to be cast in solid recycled sterling silver at a local foundry in Hatton garden. Each piece will then be carefully polished and finished, ready to wear or gift within 2–4 weeks. All are welcome. Whether you’re making for yourself, for a friend, or for someone you love, this is a space for creativity, connection and craft.
