Born in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, Santini discovered photography at the age of thirteen with his mother’s old Agfa camera. Santini began his career in reportage before expanding into portraiture, music, fashion and advertising. His work has been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery and widely published in leading international titles including i-D, Vogue, Flaunt and Nylon. His acclaimed monograph Persona (2004) continues to stand as a defining exploration of character and identity within contemporary portraiture.
