Is your lip balm giving gay guy or straight girl? In the name of beauty journalism, I surveyed everyone from tasteful twinks to buzzfeed millennials and asked them: what lip balm do you use? The end product: my Lip Balm Matrix™️- which I’ve been updating thanks to yall 💓 it’s filled with your fave lip balms from @glossier balm dot com to @experimentwrld softwear, and ofc I couldn’t forget aquaphor and Vaseline. I have this theory that your lip balm - likely the beauty product that you’re most loyal to, because it’s reapplied quite often and carried around with you wherever you go - is a symbol of your taste, identity, and consumer preferences. do you smell like a gay guy? thanks to my fragrance survey - which 1800+ of yall filled out!! ❤️ - i was able to crunch some numbers and find out the most popular gay guy scents. obviously we had some beloved bottom scents like @tomfordbeauty lost Cherry and @glossier you but the biggest gag was @lelabofragrances another 13… if you look at the top-bottom-vers breakdown of another 13 it’s verrrryy spread out which is v surprising! tops and bottoms rarely agree on anything... except another 13 apparently. if you want a longer breakdown — I analyzed another 13 through the lens of data and culture and also my own experiences dating a man that wore it on my substack!!!
