Am Morgen des 11.12. ist mein Bruder Ronny völlig unerwartet aus dem Leben gerissen worden.
Nach aktuellem Stand vermutlich durch einen schweren Herzinfarkt. Er wurde nur 42 Jahre jung. Unsere Mutter verliert ihren Erstgeborenen.
Ohne Vorwarnung. Ohne Abschied.
Ein Moment, der alles verändert.
Zurück bleiben seine Frau und Kinder, die nun mit diesem plötzlichen Verlust leben müssen.
Neben der unermesslichen Trauer stehen sie auch vor ganz realen Sorgen: ein Haus, laufende Kosten und all das, was jetzt neu organisiert werden muss.
Freunde haben deshalb eine Spendenaktion ins Leben gerufen,
um seiner Frau in dieser schweren Zeit etwas Halt zu geben
und sie finanziell zu entlasten, damit sie die anfallenden Kosten tragen und das Haus halten kann.
Jede Unterstützung – egal wie klein – hilft.

Why the #Rainbow, #GayPride, and actions like the #PrideFlight are important
In our modern era and within our own circles, it sometimes appears that #Equality has already been achieved.
For some people, #Diversity is already too much - and the world is already 'too colorful'. I often hear, "Why is this rainbow everywhere?"
However, Facts present a different reality: Over 60 countries worldwide still subject queer individuals to criminal prosecution, and in at least 7 countries, they even face the DeathPenalty. Even in Germany, a seemingly open and tolerant society, the number of HateCrimes against minorities continues to rise, and that is deeply concerning.
In 2022 alone, 1,400 crimes against queer people were registered. We are indeed making BackwardSteps, even though it seems that everyone is becoming more tolerant. A Paradox.
Isn't it regrettable that some individuals question the need for rainbow symbols and the Visibility of the queer community?
As members of the #Aviation industry, we have a special responsibility to represent an open and diverse community, simply because we are naturally a colorful bunch.
The achievements made in recent years must not ne taken for granted and can be lost faster than we can imagine. Other European countries already provide good examples at the political level.
Therefore, we all must continue to #advocate for #diversity and #equality.
The Eurowings PrideFlight was a powerful signal for that.
Do you belive that the presence of rainbow colors restricts anyone on this planet in their personal lives or takes anything away from anyone? Well, I don‘t.
I am proud to be part of a company that supports the queer community and takes their voices seriously.
Together, we should stand up for the rights and acceptance of all individuals, as diversity is a strength that enriches us all.

The truth is: dreams can come true!!! When I started pursuing my dream of becoming a #pilot, I didn't know how arduous some of the paths could be.
It ate me up inside that I was able to prove repeatedly in the beginning that I had the necessary skills for the job, but in the end plenty of the decision makers didn't believe in me. Again and again.
In the end, my #motivation and stamina were convincing, but I didn't really expect the last stage to the summit to be so rocky. The cable car uphill was probably broken.
After a long walk of training, just with the summit in sight, a snowstorm called Corona came out of nowhere, followed by an ice age. The summit was no longer visible. In Judo, I once learned to use the opponent's energy to my advantage: So I made the best of it, became a flight instructor and studied industrial engineering. More years went by.
Nevertheless, today's the very last time to look back.
I'd rather start my new future full of joy, gratitude and appreciation. 💪
It is almost unbelievable, but from my first application for pilot training to my first commercial flight with passengers on board, last week, almost 9 years have passed. I am now 36 years old - kind of an 'old hand' but still at the very beginning. What a long, long journey.
In the end, I have to say: it was absolutely worth fighting for. I am overjoyed and extremely proud of myself for having always followed this path, to have finally arrived.
I am now moving on and will always do my best. I am looking forward to an exciting future and more possibilities to improve and learn.
My deepest and most heartfelt thanks go to all the people who have accompanied me throughout this time, always believed in me and supported me in every way.
The saying 'the journey is the destination' is true, and I am still on that journey - but I honestly just want to celebrate this special stage with you! 🎉
