EPAN stands in solidarity with the victims, their families, and the entire aviation community affected by the tragic accident involving AA5342 and PAT25 on January 29th. We unequivocally condemn any unfounded allegations linking this incident to diversity and inclusion efforts in the aviation industry. At this time of profound loss and sorrow, our thoughts are with those grieving.
We honour the 64 passengers and crew who were due to land at DCA and the 3 service personnel on a training mission who lost their lives. Their memory deserves our utmost respect and sympathy.
Speculating on causes before a proper investigation is not only premature, it is disrespectful to the victims and potentially harmful to the future of aviation safety.
Diversity and inclusion are pillars of strength in aviation, driving innovation, safety and progress.

Our Aeromedical Project, focused on issues affecting people living with HIV and gender-diverse individuals, was shared alongside highlights of our DEI training, marketing initiatives, and community engagement events.
