Bridgerton is entering its upstairs-downstairs era. In the latest chapter of Netflix’s Regency romance, Benedict, an artistic, bisexual version of Cinderella’s Prince Charming, meets Sophie, a maid in her abusive stepmother’s home, at a masquerade ball. The result: a steamy take on the iconic fairytale.

No man looms larger in the last half century of film: from The Fly and The Big Chill to Jurassic Park, Igby Goes Down, and remember those Grand Budapest Hotel glasses? And no one can wear a puffer over a tux with more panache. This weekend, Jeff Goldblum is back in theaters, ascending to his rightful place as the wizard of American cinema in Wicked: For Good.

Over one week this spring, Filipina tennis player Alex Eala became a superstar. She defeated three former Grand Slam champions and made her debut into the top 100 players in the world. In the months that followed her breakthrough, @alex.eala collected a series of firsts: Her Grand Slam debut at Roland Garros, playing doubles with Coco Gauff in Rome (“I slid into her DMs,” Eala admits with a smile), her first WTA final (at Eastbourne in June), and her first time on Wimbledon’s storied Centre Court. “Short term, I’m just trying to maintain this level that I’m on,” she says. “I'm trying to take it week by week. Long term, I want to be number one in the world, but [that’s a] long way away. It’s important to dream big.” At the link in bio, our digital cover star Alex Eala opens up about representing the Philippines, what Rafael Nadal taught her, and what she’s looking forward to about playing in the #USOpen next week.
