I spent the day at Driefontein Wine Farm, where resident Chef Peter Gast presented a seasonal menu as part of his residency on the farm. Each course was paired with wines from the @dekleinewijn range, and in between courses we had a tour of the cellar (and pre-release barrel tasting) which gave a deeper look into the winemaking process.
The new guest accommodation would make an incredible stay if you’re planning a visit to the area!

Yesterday we had the privilege of experiencing a beautifully curated afternoon centred around Chef Peter Gast’s residency at De Kleine Wijn just outside Tulbagh.
With 22 Michelin stars awarded over the course of his career and known for his refined, produce-led approach and remarkable career across some of Europe’s most respected kitchens, Chef Peter Gast brought a thoughtfulness and excellence to every dish he prepared.
We had welcome drinks among the vines, a beautiful seasonal lunch, barrel tasting in the cellar, and a first look at De Kleine’s guest accommodation.
