It's been wonderful to return to the Village Vanguard all of this week with my heros celebrating the release of the live recording we did at the Vanguard "Journey To The New." (With a few of my songs in there too)

This is my third Vanguard residency; the first being in w/ @drummerslams in 2024 and funny enough, the 2nd being the following week w/ professors @dayna_stephens (@geraldclayton , @rickrosatobass , @kadscott ) I have the most immense gratitude for all the patience, empathy, and truth they all shared with me those weeks.

I am extremely thrilled to finally announce that I will be continuing my artistic studies at the Manhattan School of Music (New York City) for a degree in Jazz Performance. I am also tremendously thankful to announce that I was accepted into the John Hopkins Peabody Institute (Baltimore), New England Conservatory (Boston), and Indiana University (Bloomington). I am truly grateful for the wonderful communities and world-class experiences that have molded me into the person I am today. I want to thank my amazing mother, my four sisters, and every-single individual that has contributed in even the slightest towards advancing my development not only as an artist, but a human being. Your efforts and impact to my life will not be taken for granted.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to @nyo.usa and @carnegiehall for putting on this once in a lifetime expierence. I was really uncertain and extremely frightened at the beginning of the four week excursion however, the NYO family made sure my worries and fears were put to rest in the most loving ways imaginable. To my NYO Jazz family, I love all of you so much and owe you all of whatever I can offer, whenever you might need it in life. Though it's uncertain when we'll see each other again, this is only the beginning of our encounters.💖💖💖 Thank you to all the staff at hand, including the magnificent factually we were blessed with during our stay at Purchase College. The sheer amount of knowledge, love, and inspiration you have given to all of us is insurmountable. Thank you to @sjonesjazz and @kurtelling for being our fathers in music and leading the group head first into challenges most of us never had expiereneced before in our lives. I'd like to thank The Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz for allowing me to have the privilege of being apart of the 2019 Peer-to-Peer Sextet earlier this year. The week expierence was one of the most impactful and love-filled events I have ever been apart of. Another large thank you goes to my friends and family who have always encouraged the power of spreading love and compassion to as many people as possible in my own special ways! Thank you to one of the best saxophonists in the world today Professor Steve Wilson, Dr. J.B Dyas, Professor Bart Marantz, and Lisa Henry for simultaneously taking me in like a son in music and sharing your knowledge, expierence, and time with me. I am forever greatful and your impact on my life will never be forgotten. And thank you to my now life long friends Nino Aiyer, Bakari Williams, Dalton Hayse, Adan Montez, and Stéphane Clement. I'm a lil late but oof, what a week! Between staying up untill 2am sharing jokes in the lobby of the USF dorms and getting close to inhaling a hand full of bugs at each attempt to sleep, I couldn't have wished for a better bunch of wonderful kind souls to have been around! Much love to all the cats who had a hand in making the past week a very happy memorable experience!
This year was the absolute definition of being "live" and I feel blessed to have interacted with so many wonderful souls!!! Much love to everyone who had a hand in All-State this year!!!💖💖💖

This year has been filled with so many wonderful memories and great laughs all because of the beautiful friendships I was fortunate enough to bond! I really can't say thank you enough times to the people I owe the world and back for sticking with me through thick and thin!!! It's really impossible to explain how excited I am to see what the groovy future holds for them!!!💛💛💛
