What an incredible experience to witness ā¤ļø ā€œA Mothers loveā€ by @def3 I haven’t been sharing my family on here at all but was going through videos of my wife after such an amazing Mother’s Day together and watching all those videos really hit me in the feels and inspired me to write this. What was supposed to be a quick monologue turned into a full blown sidequest. When I was looking through background music I heard this song by @ludovico_einaudi and had only heard clips of it. After hearing the whole thing and basically being brought to tears I was inspired to make this music edit to fit the words I wrote. As a parent I know roles are different for everyone and I feel so lucky to have her in my life and to be the mother of my child. Love you @aleila_mo šŸ«¶šŸ¼ If the message resonates with you or think your partner should hear it, I’d really appreciate helping me get it out there by hitting all 3 buttons! Tag an amazing mother in the comments And Happy Belated Mother’s Dayā¤ļøšŸ™ŒšŸ½ #mother #parent #mom #daughter dad

Definitely not new to this… I’ve been getting asked a lot lately — and seeing comments/messages — about my live show and how I ā€œstarted DJing now.ā€ But the truth is, I started rapping and DJing around the same time. From 2001–2015, I hosted and played 2–3 residencies a week, starting as an all-vinyl DJ before @serato , then moving into that era, until around 2015 when I decided to focus solely on rapping. Tbh, it was hard pulling myself off the nipple of resident DJ pay, but my end goal was to build something unique — something that didn’t feel so replaceable. For 20 years, I felt like rappers needed a DJ, and that was that — even when I crossed over into bass music. A lot of my DJ homies suggested I start playing DJ sets myself, but I was resistant. I wanted to keep that element as part of the show. I’ve worked with so many amazing DJs over the years and learned so much from every one of them. But after touring with @drfresch , and a conversation with @kaleenazanders , I started to understand electronic music as a DJ culture — and maybe that idea was what was holding me back from being perceived as a headlining act in EDM, rather than a feature. In 2024, for my Shambhala set at The Grove, I decided it was time. I still felt like turntables or CDJs weren’t quite the right fit, so with the help of @captainklab and @oakummusic , I started performing from Ableton and MIDI controllers — and instantly felt a huge shift. Funny enough, that set became a benchmark in a new evolution for me and the industry. Unknown to me while I was on stage, @anderson._paak was also in attendance and showed some love after, which was lowkey the ultimate universal sign that this was the right move. Even then, I still felt a bit like a sore thumb on lineups and a little disconnected from traditional electronic acts. So as of December last year, I finally went back to DJing from CDJs — and honestly, it’s been so fun and sooooo much easier. Not in the sense of the art of it, but logistically… holy crap. Needless to say, this is where I’m at now. Fusing rapping and DJing as one has been exhilarating to explore, and I can’t wait to keep pushin

@wickedwoodsmusicfestival lineup just dropped… and some of you might be wondering— scroll ā©ļø or read for more details
who is Ramon Fernandez? Well…That’s my dad. And for the first time in 16 years, we’re stepping back on stage together. Some of you already know—we’ve released music, performed, toured, and started building something together in the past. We had a band called OYE! and closed that chapter after headlining the Saskatchewan Pavilion at the 2010 Olympics. But this goes deeper than music. My parents raised me surrounded by music, culture, and love—and my dad’s influence is a part of everything I’ve built. My sound, my message, the foundation of it all. When that chapter ended, I always knew we’d come back to it one day. But I needed time. Time to grow into my own sound.
Time to live.
Time to understand what this really means. And now it makes sense. This isn’t a throwback.
This isn’t nostalgia. This is something new. A real fusion of where we come from and where we are now. See you in the forest 🌲

15 years ago I noticed something missing in the North American electronic music scene… That realization changed everything and put me on a completely different path. Some of you are new here, others have been rocking with me since Saskatchewan 25+ years ago. Either way, this journey has taken a major sonic turn and last weekend in Portland, it all finally clicked… I DID IT. Standing on that stage, DJing my own tracks while rapping live to a packed room with full production, lights, LEDs, and bass shaking everything… I had a moment. We were locked in. And I realized I had reached something I dreamed about 10 years ago when I committed to building a sound that truly merged hip-hop and bass music. This wasn’t overnight. Years of rejection, sacrifice, and starting over. Too ā€œrapā€ for EDM. Too ā€œEDMā€ for hip-hop. No lane… so I built one. The fusion of North American rap and electronic music is still early. Not just rap over beats…but real integration. Real identity. It’s been exciting helping shape that. Some call it Basshop… but the name matters less than the movement. Electronic music has always been a DJ’s world, and vocalists have often felt like guests, unlike in the UK and other markets. For some reason, North America has been slower to bridge that gap… but it’s happening now. You can feel it. The culture is shifting. Artists are crossing lanes. The sound is evolving. I’m not claiming to be first or best—but I saw the vision early. And trust me… It’s here. And it’s only getting bigger. Appreciate everyone who’s supported this…fans, promoters, day ones and new faces. If you’re here for it too… let me know below ā¤ļøšŸ™šŸ½ Love y’all Danny Thank you @realm.pdx and @sodownbassmusic for having me and everyone else who made this night and journey extra special! #electronicmusıc #rap #bassmusic #hiphop

Got into to some legal trouble last night… Was an absolute pleasure to hop up with my brothas @codefendants_legal_fund last night in Vancouver and fill in for the legend @c.d.o.c on his verse on there song ā€œRivalsā€ If you are unfamiliar with this project let me fill you in. My roots with @ceschiramos & @factorchandelier are about as deep as they go. In my underground rap days I toured the globe relentlessly with them both and are like brothers to me. Codefendents is a new rap & punk rock fusion group executive produced by @fatmikedude from @nofx and comprised of Ceschi and Sam from @getdeadmusic with a sprinkle of production by Factor Chandelier As someone who’s been on the indie grind for most of my life, It honestly brings me such joy for these guys to get the love and support they deserve. I’ve been doing this a long time and tbh there’s a handful of O.G.s, left standing from tha era and all these guys are exactly that. Forged in the fires of underground hell for decades is the only way originality like this is capable of finding its true form so seeing it take shape makes so much sense to me. That said… massive shoutout to these guys and all other artists who aren’t afraid to go against the grain to create something new and stand for what they believe in. Make sure to check them out when the come through your town!
