Art that I made part 2 ft. @dedos_thenomad
When it comes to West Coast Graffiti Dedos and The AA crew are undeniably the Kings. It’s an honour to call him a friend and mentor so I wanted to showcase their art as well. The first mural shown is yet another masterpiece by Nelson and his wife Xóchitl of @nomadicalternatives who have painted many of my favorite murals in Vancouver so please give them a follow!
The 2nd mural was my first Anomorphic / 3d mural that I painted back in 2022. It was based off the Quote “Art is never finished, only abandoned” which will forever be the truest statement I’ve heard about art. The statement is attributed to “Leonardo DaVinci” but after researching more recently I’m not actually sure it was his. Regardless the mural was a reflection of his contributions include the Mona Lisa and some of his inventions. Everything in the mural is spray painted including the ladder 🪜.
All of these murals are located in the Stripmall on 72nd & King George in Newton, Surrey.

I’ve realized a lot of you don’t know that I also make many other kinds of art, so I’m gonna posting a lot more of it and including in my music as well. Here’s a little peek at 2 murals I painted in Newton, BC I think in 2019.

You won’t believe your eyes 👀
My favourite quote regarding art has always been “Art is never finished, only abandoned” credited to Leonardo Davinci but who really knows I made that the teme of this piece. This was the first anomorphic mural I attempted back in 2022 for @newtonbia . I’m super excited to be back painting again after a bit of a hiatus and look forward to trying one of these again!

When It comes to the title of “Master” I don’t use the word lightly but if you paint graffiti or follow the art of @dedos_thenomad and his company @nomadicalternatives that term is undeniable.
I’ve been a fan of Nelson’s work long before I called him a friend. At first through through my childhood obsession with @rascalzmusic who still in my opinion made not one, but several of my favorite rap songs of all time eg: Really Livin, Dreaded Fist and Northern Touch (Also massive shouts to the legend @djkemo who deserves a post of his own haha)
When I moved to Vancouver I had the pleasure of connecting with Dedos for an art show that led to becoming homies and also painting a few murals together over the years. He’s been a big inspiration and mentor for me in my art journey so when he asked me to come tag along on this project I instantly agreed.
I took a bit of a hiatus from painting the past 5 years but I used that quote because I am just now diving back in and to have his support immediately out the gate feels cosmic in a way.
Utmost love and respect for this man and his work and if you are interested in seeing the finished product. It’s located on the Vancouver Public library - E Hastings branch.

There’s been a bit of damage over the years but do you realize how much street cred a business has to have, when a mural painted on it, 3 years ago still remains in the downtown east side of Vancouver?
