“Def3 | Wicked Woods 2025 | Ursus Stage
A longtime member of the Wicked Woods family, Def3 has been bringing his signature blend of hip hop, bass, and electronic energy to the Woods for years. His sets always carry something special. Sharp lyricism, heavy beats, and a connection with the crowd that feels personal every time he steps on stage.
His 2025 set at Ursus Stage captured one of the most beautiful moments of the weekend.
Perched on a wide open ridge overlooking the Columbia Valley, Ursus is the only stage at Wicked Woods where the dance floor opens fully to the sky. As the sun began to set across the valley, the hillside slowly filled with people gathering for the moment. Def3 guided the crowd through that transition perfectly, starting in the golden glow of sunset and building into a fully lit dance floor as the energy continued to rise into the night.
This performance also carries a deeper meaning for our community. Ursus Stage was shaped for many years by our dear friend Shags, whose vision and spirit helped define the space and the people who gathered there. Shags was also a friend of Def3, making this set a meaningful moment on a stage that holds a lot of history for our community.
Moments like this are what Wicked Woods is all about.

Ever since I switched back to playing my sets solo again and mixing other artist tunes into my sets. Making live rap remixes over tracks I like has been one of my favourite things to do.
I loved this beat the minute I heard it so decided to throw an old verse over it for fun one night and it actually worked really well so ran it all summer.
Levity has been absolutely crushing it since there nuclear explosion into my feed a few years back and after meeting them only made me like them more.
Possibly some of the nicest most genuine dudes in the game and deserve all the success they’ve had so far.

@wickedwoodsmusicfestival was such a vibe this year! Hands down one of my favorite sets and festival experiences to date.
Everything about it felt right.
The lineup the stages, crowds, the hospitality of the organizers & staff, all top tier. It’s amazing to see the WW fam prevail through the hardships of this industry the past 5 years but to fight through and come back with a major W like this year is worth celebrating.
I’m so grateful to be a part of this beautiful community of folks, that I’ve been lucky enough to see, annually, for the past 3 years. There’s been so much inspiration and so many friendships that have bloomed from my weekends in the woods that Ill always hold close to my heart.
Thank you for inviting me again and everyone who came out to rock with me! Congratulations to the team on the SELLOUT! I hope to see you all again soon!
