After attending the inspirational @instagacep Spring conference a few weeks ago, we’re taking a look back at some of our favorite work that uses spatial storytelling across a permanent space to bring a brand to life. At Google's stunning NYC headquarters, St. John's Terminal, we collaborated with Google and Downstream to further refine and design four tentpole interactive exhibits: Reflecting Pools, Wind Chimes, Beneath the Trees, and Book Nook. Our team orchestrated the physical design, fabrication, and creative tech to bring these experiences to life. 📖 How do you create a physical book, where you can touch and turn the pages, but with digital content that can be edited and updated to reflect new stories? At the Book Nook, we used a system of overhead projectors coupled with open-faced, oversize books with Tyvek pages. The books look blank, but this is deceiving - guests take a seat, and as they turn the pages, new Think With Google content appears; visuals are projected seamlessly from above and change in real time. 🔔🌳 Dreamy landscapes and soothing sounds...that's the inspiration behind Beneath the Trees & the Wind Chimes! We combined LoRes, abstract light panels and clusters of hand-thrown, ceramic chimes to create a 'show's starting soon' signal that's anything but ordinary. Located just outside the auditorium, this multi-use space provides a constant, calming ambience, with adjustable light sequences for any mood.

Watching the Stranger Things finale over the break got us thinking about an oldie, but a goodie. Back in 2017, we partnered with Netflix to surprise Lyft riders with a journey into the Upside Down. Strange Mode was like a haunted house in a car—complete with strange effects like a Demogorgon hand, hydraulic seats, radio static, flickering lights, and even drivers who “vomited slugs.” What a ride! #sᴛʀᴀɴɢᴇʀᴛʜɪɴɢs5 #netflix #lyft #neverbored

Take a closer look 👀 at Solutions Hub, a dynamic exhibit from LinkedIn’s London Experience Center… This sleek, curved display offers information at a glance and invites deeper dives into customer success stories. In its ambient state, the screens cycle through a variety of content, but as guests approach, they can simply “tap to learn more” about LinkedIn Learning Hub, upskilling with AI, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and more. The @pinterest Manifestival is always a bold, bright, inspirational presence at @cannes_lions International Festival of Creativity. Pinterest puts fans first, leans into DIY/maker stations, and taps into the latest trends, turning their stretch of beach into the coveted place to be. This year, we were thrilled to work with their team, @weareamplify , and @adobefirefly to develop the “Discover Yourself” style reading – a customized, glowing, tarot-esque experience that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible with AI. 🔮 Inspired by Pinterest’s Visual Search, guests scanned their palms to discover their aura color, then refined their style preferences by selecting images and banking style tags. The final result? An AI-generated, digital tarot card with fashion, travel, and interior design recs bundled together, encoded onto an NFC tag key charm as a souvenir. Tapped for our AI, engineering, creative tech, and experience design expertise, we owned the industrial design of the interface, digital content flow, audio and lighting cues, and developed 250 tarot cards. On the backend, we ensured our text and image outputs were as tailor-made, curated, and thoughtful as possible for guests. We were so grateful to be a part of Manifestival!
