It was so exciting to meet MVP at the DNC meeting ✨ The last time we chatted was at my first CADEM convention in 2008, after she gave a stirring speech to delegates advocating for Barack Obama. I had a moment to share how much things have changed since our last encounter, and how much she has inspired me over the years.
So we’ve passed Prop 50… what’s next? Open to all democrats! Let’s debrief how California’s Fil-Ams turned out for Prop 50, and what’s next for our community (and the California Democratic Party at large) in 2026. We’ll be joined by @deepasharmaca , California Democratic Party Vice Chair.

It was so great to attend the @closethegapca gala this evening! There’s so much work left to do to increase the representation of women in all elected positions, and I’m so glad that Close the Gap is taking this on and expanding its reach. Shoutout to the CTG team led by Susannah Delano, and @cademocrats ’s very own @melanievramil for chairing the Catalyst program.
Thank you to our forever Speaker of the House @speakerpelosi for inspiring a nation. Speaker Pelosi leads by example, and throughout her storied career, she showed the world that women not only belong in all of the places where decisions are made, but are also worthy of wielding power.
