Before my b2b gig in Antwerp the other night, I did a radio show in memory of my recently departed cat Mrs. Tibbs at @comingsoon.space pop-up studio in Antwerp Centraal train station. As I said on air, this was probably one of the emotionally difficult DJ sets I’ve done. Dedicating a show to Tibbs is one of the ways I’m grieving for her, using music to characterise her life and coming to terms with her death. Link in bio to listen to the show. Tracklist: 1. Being asked to do an RA mix (#610) changed my silly DJ hobby from making friends laugh and/or cry to touring the world. One of my favourite aspects of DJing is realising in the moment how much fun I’m having + performing in full flow to produce a barnburner of a set. That happened last weekend in Globus @tresorberlin with fellow genre traveller @questionyourdj Like my best pickleball partners, she played on the left with boldness and knew when to take the next shot. She even played samples of a pickleball match while we healed/assaulted the crowd/ourselves [delete as appropriate] with the ha. The Globus soundsystem was yummy, especially hearing acid lines wriggling slowly out of those monitors… We can’t wait to share the set recording with you soon!

I’m back to make good trouble this Saturday at @tresorberlin with a 5👏Hour👏 🐝2️⃣🐝 with @questionyourdj in Globus 😃 Seriously, pinch me and goodness knows why it took so long to pluck up the courage to ask her to b2b with me. With fellow Midwest expat @olin.music joining us upstairs, we’re getting all our musical crayons out for this one + think I found an another way to make Mozart spin in his grave. Playing upstairs almost-all-night is the only reason I’m not planted downstairs for a banging evening with @tony_surgeon @keepsakesish @toniba__ @i.am.sept I often play Keepsakes tracks in my sets & wore out my car speakers playing his 5hr all-vinyl set on forever-peat, but I’ve yet to see him play IRL. Good to know that probably won’t change on Saturday 😂😭
