Debris Facility Pty Ltd's work ToxEcology invests in the contamination and containment processes on site and beyond to reflect on control ‘development’ and multiple ecologies. Through four components of the work: design + concrete poetry, installation-infrastructure-packaging, a signal2noise audio tour, and a printed map/ site refraction which lead us through a speculative engagement with these complex sites and their circulatory activities.   Showing for three more days at Truganina Explosives Reserve, Altona as part of Dear Agnes contemporary public art program. Friday 27 March - 10am to 3pm Saturday 28 March - 11am to 5pm Sunday 29 March - 11am to 3pm 🧪✨ @debris.facility  Pty Ltd works at the overlap of waste management and cultural production, within the framework of a queer corporate entity. Working through non-binary, multiple agencies to produce thousands of artworks, exhibitions, performances, designs, audio, video, text, wearables and other speculations. Operating in narrm for a decayed decade, they have worked with leading cultural institutions, artist run projects, publications, and self-devised projects. Their work is held in private collections and landfill.  -  @creativecityhobsonsbay   #creativecityhobsonsbay #dearagnes #dearagnes2026 #agnesdenes #publicart #contemporaryart

‘PlastiCorpus 2.6’, for @_altaforma_ booth E15 at the “Melbourne Art Fair” - “FUTUREOBJEKT” 19-22 February 2026, at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Happy to share work at “Melbourne Art Fair” (the sister event to Waste Expo, in the same venue) PlastiCorpus 1.0-2.0 produced for “This Hideous Replica” curated by Joel Stern @sternjoel and Sean Dockray at RMIT Gallery in 2024. The work deploys knock off replica modular “IQ Lamps” created by the Danish designer Holger Strøm in 1973, and proliferating through copies of the appropriated design. PlastiCorpus looks at plastics re- production as an expanse of noise and cancerous growth within economic and waste systems. Lighting deployed as affect management tools and architectural adornments which critically reflect plastic as a queer materiality. This 2.6 remix features contributions c/o @dreambod.remit and @hol__l__y . 66x46x32cm. $700 & $900 Alta Forma is also presenting Roseanne Bartley, Sam Blomley and Gilda Jones, Melissa Cameron, Katie Collins, Eli Giannini, Peta Kruger, Mascha Moje, Yongping Ren, Audrey Tan, Anna Varendorff, Raewyn Walsh, Benjamin Woods, Danni Schwaag, Rosy Shanks, Elisa Zorraquin.

The works Steven Rhall will be showing in 𝘘𝘶𝘪𝘥 𝘗𝘳𝘰 𝘘𝘶𝘰 have been in his care since 2019. This procured material nexus exists in an in-between state, like works 'in transit' - neither art objects nor ordinary things - waiting for something to happen. . 𝙆𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙤𝙣 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙍𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙭 returns the works in the same condition in which they were last seen: wrapped, labelled with their makers’ names, and waiting. The materials used for transport and storage now function as the visible surface of the works, marking a five-year period of inactivity. This acknowledges what happens to artworks - and the relationships that shape them - once an exhibition concludes. . Opening of Quid Pro Quo is @younghusbandmelbourne from 6-9pm Wednesday Jan 14th . @s_rhall_studio . ‘Lamination Station: Company collage workshop’ We’re thrilled to be working with Arts Project Australia (APA) artist Adrian Lazzaro @zombielazzaro and for Lamination Station: Company Collage Workshop, a free and limited workshop held Saturday 1-3pm at APA Collingwood The workshop will begin with a discussion with Adrian and Debris on their respective art practices before inviting participants to merge stationery, studio waste, textural treasures and selected scraps within a plastic sleeve, then sealing it shut forever in a laminator. Lamination collage was developed by Debris Facility during lockdown when they were unable to access their studio. Their response was to repurpose office equipment as an experimental artmaking tool in the home. Adrian Lazzaro has a prolific scrapbook practice in which he samples imagery from his life, taking photos of the TV and his surroundings, gathering miscellaneous matter. He compiles his findings within notebooks, often laminating the pages with sticky tape. Lamination Station takes place within STOP WORK, an exhibition curated by Loren Kronemyer at APA Gallery. Please note: this is a dry artmaking method, wet matter will not be accepted into the laminator. Register through @artsprojectaust

Wound Wound Workshop: Thermo-Plastic Ring Making and Discourse with Debris Facility Saturday 16th August 4-6pm. @_altaforma_ - 620 St Kilda Road $111. Booking link in bio. In this intimate workshop and guided tour of the exhibition “Wearing.Opacities”, Debris Facility will lead participants in a process of making rings out of medical thermo-plastic with found materials. As the conclusion to the exhibition at Alta Forma, a collaboration between Hen Vaughan and Debris Facility, this workshop will reconfigure the exhibition into a temporary collective studio, where we will adopt and learn processes from the Debris Facility to make rings or other wearable and jewellery objects using off-cut medical plastics and found materials. Participants will be asked to bring a small collection of materials which might be used as ‘gems’ to set into the plastic. We will discuss overlaps between bio-medical processes, adornment, beauty industries, plastic capitalism, queer and disabled embodiment while we make works together. No prior skills or practice necessary. Please let us know any access needs and we’ll do our best to accomodate. If price is a barrier to participation please reach out to Alta Forma or Debris Facility. ‘Wearing.Opacities’ is an installation outcome of two years collaborative research and making between Debris Facility and Hen Vaughan, exploring wearable technologies, bio-medical adornment, and concrete poetry for the body @flaneuxe

Alphabet Spit continues with the letter “E”
this coming wednesday! Continuing on from our screening of Derek Jarman’s Jubilee (1978) at @conduction3011 earlier this year we’re screening Edward II (1991) Wednesday the 13th Aug at @rest_in_spit Adapted from the Christopher Marlowe play, Derek Jarman depicts Britain’s only acknowledged gay monarch (1307-1327), whose commitment to his nobleman lover Piers Gaveston, over his Queen Isabella of France (sometimes described as the She-Wolf of France) caused controversy, leading to mutiny among the ranks of his monarchy and eventually civil war. Edward II features every element of Jarman’s worlds that we crave including period inaccurate clothing/props/set dressing, sparse industrial spaces, queer retellings of history & Tilda Swinton. Annie Lennox of the Eurythmics also makes an appearance in a musical segment!

May or may not include a short film prior to feature.

Doors at 7.30pm We press play at 8pm BYO FREE ENTRY FOOTSCRAY DM for address or check stories day of.
