Live Music at Ctrl+Space — 16.05.2026
Join us in an evening of experimental sound, improvisation, and sonic exploration at Ctrl+Space (at De Besturing). Expect everything from microtonal compositions and prepared instruments to raw, genre-crossing performances.
Acts:
KROES — the project of Dutch maker Lau Breukhoven, blending live performance with music technology. Moving between the mundane and the overlooked, KROES combines technical experimentation with a poetic, immersive sensibility.
TSEV + STRZAŁ W KOLANO — a meeting of two distinct approaches to microtonality. With prepared guitar and custom synth tuning systems, they explore the space beyond equal temperament, creating tense, shifting sonic landscapes.
DOSKOCZ // JANSSEN — guitarist Paweł Doskocz and drummer Sebastiaan Janssen bring together prepared guitar, improvisation, and driving rhythmic structures. Their collaboration moves fluidly between noise, punk, and free improvisation.

See you there!
What you can’t see, you’ll hear. At @debesturing , many studios were open, while others remained closed. A sound walk by Eva Huisman and Aldo Kroese focused on the unseen spaces, sharing what couldn’t be seen, from the smell of fresh print to the rhythm of machines. Through sound, the work, processes, and atmosphere behind closed doors became accessible in a different way, offering another layer to the building and its artists.

Fragments of Vanity by Stephan Sjouke @bermuda.open starting tomorrow!
Rooted in the idea that personal truths are often mistaken for universal ones, this work reflects on perception, illusion, and the quiet vanity we all carry.
Embracing imperfection and imbalance, the practice explores form through ceramic and stone sculptures.

Harold de Bree his work has a raw, brutal, and blunt quality. This aesthetic appeals to him, and he uses it deliberately.
The ideas he portrays stem from the reality of the present day, events around the world, combined with his own memories and background. Sometimes he experiments with different techniques, such as marquetry, or creates assemblages.
Grey, grimness, weaponry, explosions, towers, concrete structures.
The form of his work has its own distinctive stylistic features. It stands out through a simple yet realistic reconstruction of visible reality, almost like a genre piece, as if it were a 17th century painting. These are modern icons that awaken a mixture of feelings, memories, and longing within us, much like scents sometimes can. Performative acts, either carried out or directed, are also part of this. Harold also incorporates sound and soundscapes as elements of his work.
You can find @harolddebree his work on the first floor during @bermuda.open this weekend

Part of @bermuda.open in our building is artist @ritsertmans
Ritsert explores the tension between technology and nature through form and movement. Driven by a personal conflict between a love for engines and a respect for the natural world, he creates installations in which blueprints of technology come to life. This work will be on view during our open weekend!
@debesturing is open from 11-18
Saturnusstraat 91 at the Binckhorst
During Bermuda Open, on April 18 and 19, Eva Huisman and Aldo Kroese will take you on an audio walk through De Besturing studio complex. A number of studios are open; there is plenty to see there. Some studios are closed. But don’t worry, what you can’t see, you can hear. De Besturing is a place of craftsmanship and experiment; work is done using traditional tools and new techniques. The people who work here will share what fascinates them and where their inspiration comes from. It will cover the scent of fresh print, the taste palette of an artist, and the hypnotic rhythm of machines. The walk features audio contributions from various artists.
Turn off your eyes and turn on your ears!
