@deanvmurphy 🌟 American baritone Dean Murphy has been described as "one of today’s most prodigiously talented young singers" who "looks set to have a glittering career ahead of him.” (
@musicomh ). A member of the
@deutscheoperberlin ensemble since 2021, he has become a standout presence in roles ranging from Figaro and Marcello to Enrico and Prince Yeletsky.
This season has brought a series of exciting milestones, including his final performance as part of the Deutsche Oper Berlin ensemble as Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream. In February, he made his house debut at
@sandiegoopera in the title role of Il Barbiere di Siviglia, a role he has performed in Zürich, Berlin, and Copenhagen. He also made his role debut as Giorgio Germont in La traviata in Berlin.
Upcoming highlights include a concert alongside Andrea Bocelli in Italy on 7th May. Summer engagements will then take him to
@desmoinesmetroopera ,
@berkshireoperafest , and Tanglewood, where he will make his debut with the
@bostonsymphony under Andris Nelsons.
