We had so much fun making three 'Forgotten Potatoes' with acclaimed glass artist
@dczeey and her amazing assistant Em
@theemilybubble at Brooklyn Glass! The Hotshop was kind of cool that day as the front gate was open, the music was creative chill and it was so much fun to discover how much goes into the planning, execution and care of her delicate, elegant, and conversational works of art!! 🤩🔥🔥🙌🙏🏼
Here are some shots from our in mag editorial Maestro of Magic and some.
@oakleymeta HSTN video from her's, Em' and our povs 😎
"I think that was one of the things that clicked for me in being attracted to glass. I wanted to be in a physical medium and i wanted to be in a creative medium. I wanted to express myself through my body, but not as a dancer... but it's obvious now why I was so attracted to this material. So Challenging! It's just like a feeling that you can't get anywhere else really to work with glass in a variety of ways," she told us.
She shouted out fellow glassblower Alex Kruger who also trains her at
@crunchsouthslope for all the specific touchpoints and be functional the next day doing a lot of higher reps.
It was great to see these works come to life; talk about her training and passion for the art of glassblowing; winning S1 of Netflix Blown Away; the music playing in the Hotshop and so much more.
