Hello people on phones! My name is Foley! Here’s some background on who I am!
Firstly, I’m an eager bean who just loves making stuff and learning stuff. I’m from Brooklyn, NY and at this moment in time, spend most days running around making and teaching at a few different studios. My background is in metalsmithing (BFA in Metal from SUNY New Paltz) but my current material crush is glass! I enjoy making functional objects, sculptures, jewelry and more! I’ve worked as an artist’s assistant, studio monitor, commissioned artist, and occasionally I get to make some stuff for myself.
From the outset, I want this page to be pretty casual. I’ll be posting pictures of things I’ve made, progress pics/vids, and maybe some inspo too. I’m happy to start to sell some work so feel free to reach out if anything piques your eye or if you have an idea for a creation you’d like to collaborate on, or hire me for!

what a year its been!
i’ve been thinking a lot recently about where I was a year ago and all of the goals that I set up for myself this past year. I remember distinctively saying “ i want to do more assisting this year” and boy, have I done more assisting! I’ve grown so much and learned so much and been supported and mentored by so many lovely people! Here’s to learning new things in the new year and growing evermore on this little glass journey of mine! Thank you to all who have been there for me so far 🥰

so the idea behind this project was to create some high brow-low brow cups; glasses that might look like plastic to the unknowing eye when sitting on a table or in a cabinet and when you pick it up you realize its glass! i love how fun these guys are and hope you do too!

the truth is, ive been sitting on these babies for quite a bit because ive been procrastinating photographing them. something im learning about making work to sell is the feeling of pressure to cater to “what the people want”. when in reality, i just make stuff that i think is fun and if others are into it, excellent! so here are my latest little dudes. i hope you like em!
