Introducing Divya Balivada — now represented by Cream Athens × D Contemporary Divya Balivada is an Indian artist based in Goa and London. She recently graduated with MA Painting from the Royal College of Art, where she was shortlisted for the Jaguar x RCA Prize 2025. She has exhibited internationally and received the Women’s Achiever Art Award 2024 in Goa, India. Divya was a trained dentist before she became a painter. She navigates painting as a necessity, an instinctive way of being in this world. Having lived through PTSD, gender biases, displacement, and generational trauma, she finds painting vast and fluid enough to hold the intensity of being human. Recursive and dynamic gestures are bodily accumulations that hover between compulsive and meditative, becoming records of endurance, healing, and reclamation. #dcontemporary #creamathens #artistrepresentation

Working with liquid porcelain and integrated pigmentation, Liu Wenqi creates pieces that exist in a delicate tension between permanence and impermanence. Her works unfold as meditations on memory, time, sensation, and disappearance—forms that seem to shift even as they settle. As curator Sonia Borrell reflects: “In Liu Wenqi’s ceramics, the image is never fully still; it continues to transform, like memory itself.” Liu Wenqi was born in Shanghai in 1985. After studying animation design at the Shanghai Academy of Film Arts, she moved to Paris to study fashion design at Studio Berçot. In 2012, she began her career as a textile designer at Atelier Marion Chopineau, where she worked for six years with several renowned fashion houses, including Maison Margiela, Balenciaga, and Louis Vuitton. Her work Infection N.01 (2019) was acquired in 2023 by the Joseph Déchelette Museum in Roanne, France. More recently, Le soleil de la brume N.43-2 and Le soleil de la brume N.50 were acquired in 2025 by the Victoria and Albert Museum, where they are now part of the permanent collection. Meet Hannah Thomas, one of the 16 artists of Loop State. Hannah Thomas is a British painter based in Wiltshire, working with acrylics, oil sticks, and pastels to create bold, often large-scale compositions. Her work features recurring motifs within fragmented, abstracted landscapes, exploring themes of mortality, absurdism, and the tension between the beauty and unease of the natural world. Originally trained in photography at UWE Bristol, she spent over a decade working in London’s music industry before transitioning to painting in 2019, seeking greater creative autonomy. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in the UK, and she has been longlisted for the Aesthetica Art Prize. Thomas continues to develop an experimental, evolving practice and will join the MA Painting programme at the Royal College of Art in 2026.
