Wednesday night practice session in Burbank April 29, 2026
@lakingsburbanksportscenter
What I love about doing steps in synchro with other skaters is how much of our own style comes through the flow. Our feet take the same steps, but how we take them is completely individual.
This is Anna
@satanskates I love how graceful she is. She’s a dancer. She’s a budding artistic skater, too. She’s goal oriented and willing to stretch herself to grow. I have such admiration for her and am grateful when we get to skate together.
This is the G-Step Flow. I’ve seen videos of some amazing STL skaters (OGs like Ms.
@hawk.g1 ) do this move with 5+ people arm and arm. My feet don’t move exactly like theirs either, but I admire how they move and love to interpret what I see in my own way.
I love that skating is not cookie cutter. I will never skate exactly like anyone else, nor would I expect anyone to skate exactly like me. This is so important to me as a teacher, too. We all get to express ourselves in the ways that feel best in our own bodies.
In case you need to hear it today… there is no “perfect” way to skate… IF YOU’RE HAVING FUN, YOU’RE DOING IT RIGHT 💜🛼🎉
I try to go back to basics. Back to the beat. Back to rhythm & bounce. Back to my edges. Back to weight shifting. Back to my breath. Back to joy.
Thank you for the clip
