Tomorrow, London’s ever-evolving prog post-metal collective Dawnwalker will release their most ambitious work to date: The Between, a single 32-minute long-form suite of experimental metal, accompanied by an exclusive bonus track.
Described by the band as “a guided meditation through death and dying,” The Between explores the cyclical nature of life and loss, blending post-metal, doom, and new age influences into a deeply immersive sonic journey and is now playing in full at Decibel Magazine, who had this to say about it:
“The track sprawls out like a guided meditation piece, complete with intermittent narration, and seamlessly floats from dreamy soundscapes to more tension-filled dirges on its extended path. It is, however, never boring, as instruments and voices are woven in and out of the musical narrative.”

Featuring an expanded 12-piece lineup, it blends post-metal, doom and new age influences in what might be our most ambitious work yet. It will be available on vinyl and digital formats.

Guess this is a wrap? Had a good year of going to gigs and taking pictures. Grateful for a LOT of things (and people), but mainly for allowing the part of my brain that keeps telling me I'm not good enough to gtfo every now and then. Achievement unlocked and all that.

Dawnwalker has always been a revolving door project and each new album is a chance to work with new people and try new approaches. This time around we're joined by @sofiasourianou of Deathbloom and Lurein who contributed her ethereal vocals and lyrics. It is also the first time we've recorded with Luke Fabian @bass_slicer who brought all new grooves and vibes to the bass. Also returning is our magical flautist @bellabandbeats . We're excited to share this new work with you!
And lastly, the music video for our next single CAPRICORN will premiere over the next week or so - watch this space!
