The room called for a round coffee table, but not an ordinary one.
Designed for our Living Room at the 2026 @sfshowcase , the Pondicherry cocktail table, evolved into one with great form. The silhouette opens through soft cutouts rather than a perfect circle, and the legs sit apart from the top, creating a sense of lightness and suspension.
Crafted in Pondicherry, a coastal town in southern India, it is made from sumptuous materials. Teak wrapped in leather with layered brass detailing across the surface.
What emerged feels both sculptural and effortless, designed to feel equally at home in traditional and modern spaces alike.

For our Living Room at the 2026 @sfshowcase , we designed a floating demi-lune console inspired by the graceful drape of an Indian sari.
Crafted in ash wood with a soft ombré finish, the piece features hand-carved floral motifs that recall the texture and intricacy of embroidery. Along the border, gold accents reference the richness of zari work traditionally woven into Indian textiles.
Though rooted in heritage craft, the form feels distinctly modern: suspended from the wall, sculptural in silhouette, and quietly architectural within the room.
Like much of ISHARA, it became a dialogue between past and present, where traditional artistry is reimagined for contemporary living

The first thing I envisioned for the room was the swing with a reversible back. Before the palette, the frescoes, or the furnishings, I knew that the elegant curved bay window—with its fantastic view of the Golden Gate Bridge—needed a piece of furniture that invited one to sit, pause, and gaze outward if they chose to.
The swing was crafted in Hyderabad, India, using a mix of materials. Its organic-shaped base is made from teak; the reversible back from charred ash wood; and the brass details and hardware allow it to function exactly as intended.
A simple idea, beautifully considered.

The question most visitors asked was: What was the starting point of the vision?
It began with a swing. A double-sided seat nestled into the curved bay window, where one could turn toward conversation or toward the view, without having to choose.
From there, the room unfolded slowly: lime-washed walls in Wedgewood Blue, hand-painted frescoes touched with mirrorwork, carved forms, fretwork, metalwork, and furnishings that carried the hand of the maker.
Art and objects became the final notes, bringing texture, color, and joy.
What began as a room of possibility became a living expression of heritage, design, and story.

@jeffreyneveinteriordesign s boys’ bedroom at @sfshowcase is inspired by his dog-eared copy of The Official Preppy Handbook and the stylized world of Rushmore — a room built on tradition but tailored for what comes next.
We lacquered these vintage twin beds from @chairish in custom green and upholstered them in vegan woven leather. Classic codes, personal interpretation. The kind of space that honors where you came from while making room for who you’re becoming.
