Our latest project, Gilded Classic, is featured in the May/June issue of @luxemagazine and I’m still a little in awe of it!
This project meant a lot to us. The clients had lived in this home for over 20 years before we touched it. The brief wasn’t to reinvent it. It was to reimagine it for a new chapter, one that still felt like them.
What came out of it surprised even me. A dining room we turned into a bar. Curved trusses built from reclaimed beams. Red and marigold in rooms that could have played it safe. Classical bones with a lot of personality layered on top.
Seeing it in print is a good reminder of what this work is really about. Not just the finished rooms, but the trust that makes them possible.

I invite you to step inside Fleur de Mer, the tropical oasis we designed over the last several years, exploring an entirely new design vernacular. One that is quiet but playful. This project is situated on St. Barth, an oasis where you are invited to experience life as much outdoors as inside. So when tasked with designing a premiere villa on the island it was paramount we create a complete environment. With wild and expansive views, the property is inseparable from the profound natural beauty of St. Barth. This provided our initial inspiration from which the design emerged. Always a team effort with special thanks @nicolasgessatarchitecture for his architectural excellence and @julius_gaume for his attention to detail on the construction, not to mention the myriad other team members helping manager, coordinate, and execute this immense undertaking. Visit the link in our bio to tour the project.

Fleur de Mer in @spiritofstbarth ! Seeing this project come to life on the pages of a magazine is an incredible feeling and I am filled with so much gratitude for everyone who had a hand in this project. Thank you to the Spirit Magazine team for the feature and for spending time with the work. The biggest thank you, as always, goes to our clients for trusting us over the years it took to bring this home to life and for letting us explore something a little different together. Fleur de Mer was truly a collaboration from start to finish, and I’m grateful for every person who played a part in shaping it. Feeling proud, grateful, and definitely taking a moment to enjoy this one.  Architect: @nicolasgessatarchitecture Contractor: @julius_gaume Photographer: @twilliamsphoto

Checking in from my spot in Palm Springs. What started as a blank canvas is slowly becoming the oasis I always dreamed of. The desert has a way of telling you exactly what a space needs, and I am listening. 🌞

The kitchen in Gilded Classic is where this project took its biggest turn. The front of this home is classical and composed. The kitchen needed to feel casual and rustic without losing the thread of everything that came before it.
For us, two decisions defined the room. The first was the custom range hood. The scale was unlike anything we’d designed before, and my honest reaction when the client pushed for it was skepticism. A piece that large in a room that considered felt like a real risk. We committed to it anyway and it became the architectural anchor of the entire space.
The second was the ceiling. We partnered with arcwoodandtimbers to build arched trusses from reclaimed and salvaged beams. Curved trusses at this scale introduced a level of complexity we hadn’t tackled before. The goal wasn’t just the form. It was making them feel like they’d always been there. Honored to launch one of our latest projects in Ross.  This home takes shape through disciplined craftsmanship and a focus on how every detail comes together as a whole. Step into the residence’s exterior entry and wraparound porch where curved geometry, refined transitions, and carefully executed materials are emphasized. The result is a cohesive exterior construction that we are proud to stand behind. We are thrilled to have this project featured in the May/June 2026 issue of Luxe Interiors + Design (@luxemagazine ). Every entertaining house needs spaces that belong only to the people who live there. The primary suite in Gilded Classic follows the same design logic as the rest of the home. It has the same commitment to proportion. Same attention to finish. But a little bit quieter. The gold tones that read so boldly in other rooms soften here into something warmer and more private. A dining room that isn’t really a dining room. When we started Gilded Classic, the clients had lived in this home for over 20 years. Our job wasn’t to erase that history. It was to reimagine it. And sometimes reimagining means making a move that nobody expects.
We turned the dining room into a fully functioning bar. Inspired by Bemelman’s Bar at The Carlyle Hotel, we wrapped the room in custom wallpaper and detailed it to feel intimate and layered. Formal enough for entertaining. Relaxed enough to actually enjoy. Architect: @polskyperlsteinarchitects Builder: @n.charlesconstruction Photographer: @adampottsphoto

There’s a point in every outdoor project where the space stops feeling like an extension of the home and starts feeling like the reason for it. Fleur de Mer got there.
Our team is honored to see it recognized by @luxemagazine with the 2026 Residential Excellence in Design Award for Outdoor Spaces. Outdoor rooms earn their place the same way any room does. Good materials, a considered layout, and a clear sense of what it’s for. Here, painted tile meets terracotta underfoot, the quatrefoil skylights cast a pattern worth pausing for, and the views across Sonoma do the rest. I designed this one to feel like somewhere you actually want to be. It does.
