Delighted to be asked by @jcalondon Jimmy Choo’s academy and fashion mentorship to judge graduate show winners who will go onto be part of a show in June. Felt like a full circle moment to judge alongside luminaries like Clare Waight Keller whose @chloe I still have pieces from and attending her first couture show for @givenchy We spent hours looking through all the designs as to who got to show - such impressive graduates!

A few things lately: (In Aries season) 1) Wonderful evening hosted by @bellanesselrode at @boss Regent St to celebrate the current tailoring edit and bag craftmanship. 2) I had the honour of being asked to be a judge alongside the inimitable Clare Waight Keller and others to decide which graduate designers from @jcalondon (Jimmy Choo’s legacy academy) will be part of the runway show in June. It personally felt like a full circle moment as Clare WK has featured in many memorable moments of mine along the way such as dressing @isabelle.huppert on the floor of a hotel in Clare’s @chloe . 3) Anyone who knows me knows my fascination with quantum physics and that I am a through and through Aries! @bellanesselrode founded @childrenofearthskincare which fuses the powers of astrology with the knowledge of a proper neuroscientist for blends on another level of longevity and skin consciousness! (Liz Taylor looking on had her venus in Aries) 4) @cartier ruby set gifted to @elizabethtaylor for Easter in 1957 by Mike Todd. EE Cummings on the puzzle of living and doing. Never was a fan of the bed in 1998, but sometimes viewpoints can evolve. Swedish born stylist, Ameli Lindgren, seems like an overnight success with her Nordic Poetry vintage luxury archive now the place to visit. However it’s been two decades in the making - I visited her to source through YSL 2004, Westwood archive worn by Robbie on the Wuthering Heights press tour (whatever your thoughts are on themed movie dressing), Galliano era Dior and much more. @voguescandinavia @nordicpoetry @amelilindgren

💔 Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Molly Parkin @parkin.molly who I experienced during a feature I organised with her over 10 years ago! (I’ve seen her being referred to as the last bohemian, seems like another end to an era of freedoms, colour, proper journalism etc) I had an idea to speak to her for a feature I was working on at the time but it seemed an impossibility to be able to track her down. No one I called had heard word from her for years or knew her whereabouts or thought she would want to be hustled by a writer anyway. I found an old hotmail address after having given up all hope - & to my surprise got a response. She was living in pretty dire circumstances in the Chelsea Worlds End Estate (oh for the days when people created without a care in the world for money!) due to addiction and what not but was still painting. In the end our email exchanges became lengthy and she began to recount parts of her life to me before we had organised anything. Then she began to call me - she was unexpectedly warm, expectedly witty and charming and refreshingly candid as per women of her generation who had lived great highs and lows. I persuaded her to do a shoot in her home @valentinefillolcordier expertly captured her. Between shoot and interview she tried to cancel numerous times saying actually she didn’t want the intrusion and just to be with her painting (she later said she considered her fashion editor days a waste of time compared to her art!) - I managed to convince her back many times & @luellabartley went to do the interview. She spoke often brutally about miscarriages, abortions but also with continued fervour about a colourful life through sixties London and on that we won’t see again. She had just written a foreword for an astrology book about all the celebrated men she had turned down! Such as Cary Grant.
