Joburg! Just over 1 week to go!
Special announcement…
CoSemo is proud to announce a joint collaboration with Umgibelo on the 7th of March taking over both Club AM and Bad Manors, Carfax, for this one day celebration of music, food, art and community in the centre of Johannesburg, South Africa.
The event marks the release of the CoSemo collective’s debut single and is in support of
@thegreatoven – a social impact organisation that builds giant, beautifully decorated community ovens and sends them to places in need – from refugee camps to countries in crisis and underserved communities. The Great Oven uses food, music and art to promote peace, prosperity, personal empowerment and cultural exchange – working primarily in Lebanon and South Africa.
This exciting partnership offers attendees a dedicated GQOM Room curated by Umqibelo (Club A.M), The Rave Room ran by underground electronic music collectives Stoke Music School and 303 in the main room of Bad Manors as well as an eclectic funk, disco and house room on the Bad Manors Balearic Balcony.
The daytime segment of this incredible, mini-festival runs from 2pm-8pm in a specially decorated courtyard featuring vinyl DJs and live music with international guests from New York City, London and Italy, paired with the best South African talent. There will also be a community feast – cooked by Great Oven co-founder – James Gomez Thompson – alongside young culinary mentees from The Cradle Of Humankind.
