David Mildner’s work reflects on decay as a reminder of our finitude—and our paradoxical urge to preserve. For him, art is never fixed in its material form but lives through the shifting meanings we assign to it. Each interpretation layers new sediment onto the old, making a work exist anew with every encounter. In this way, art—like life itself—remains an open dialogue between past, present, and the uncertainty of what is to come.
