Starting 7th February, in residence for the next three weeks, @norblacknorwhite in Dhan Mill Compound. The Kasera collection by @davidjoethomas for @kaash.space . Come say 👋🏼 Delhi…
Re-editions brings together eight furniture pieces that reflect a shared pursuit: understanding what American red oak and cherry can do in the hands of India’s most exacting craftspeople.
Designed by Geoffrey Bawa Practice, x+l, INODA+SVEJE and Adam Markowitz - and crafted by Phantom Hands - the collection carries forward the lessons of last year’s REFRACTIONS collaboration, deepening the studio’s relationship with American hardwoods.
From sculpted seating in American red oak to quietly expressive forms in cherry, each piece reflects a dialogue between designers, makers, and materials, shaped through months of experimentation, material testing, and knowledge exchange.
Together, they offer a new lens on durability, craft, and the role of responsibly sourced hardwoods at Design Mumbai 2025.

A behind the scenes glimpse of the build process for the pavilion Phantom Hands is setting up at Design Mumbai, in collaboration with American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC).
The search for responsibly sourced timber led Phantom Hands into a dialogue with American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) and explorations with unfamiliar American hardwoods. After a period of experimentation and adoption of American hardwoods into some products, a more ambitious project emerged for Design Mumbai 2025 – an architectural scale pavilion built with American hard maple to showcase products made with American red oak and cherry.
Designed by Bangalore based architect David Joe Thomas, the pavilion marks a new trajectory for Phantom Hands, rooted in ecological responsibility and expanded material possibility.
We hope to see you at Design Mumbai (Nov 26-29) at Jio World Garden, BKC. Furniture pieces by @adammarkowitzdesign@inodasveje@xandlamsterdam and the Geoffrey Bawa Practice will be on display.
