Thembi Nala comes from three generations of Zulu potters, working in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where her practice is rooted in the classical aesthetic established by her mother Nesta Nala. For Earth Offerings, she made nineteen pots characterised by rounded forms, decorative motifs, and a highly burnished red and black textured finish.
