What happens when a legendary car inspires an entirely new typeface? 🚗

@cheilworldwide_official ) set out to capture the spirit of the Volkswagen Golf GTI: not in a campaign or a commercial, but in a typeface. The result is Written By GTI, an Arabic font where every curve, angle and stroke echoes the GTI’s design DNA, from its iconic grille to its sleek silhouette. And in a fitting twist, the letters were drawn not by hand, but by the drifting tyres of a Volkswagen GTI.

@david_sanchezc ) of Cheil MEA, along with type designers
@lanasoufeh and
@waelmorcos , reveal how they studied the car’s details and transformed them into letterforms. Working with

@morcoskey , they crafted a piece of design that’s as fast and fearless as the GTI itself.
