I had an enjoyable chat with @ruthojcb for the @lcflondon_ ‘Fashion Means Business’ podcast recently, which if you so wish you can hear on Spotify via the link in my bio. Many of you who I’ve worked with over the years get a shoutout for being brilliant and making me look good!

**NEW WORK** Music Direction for the PATRICK McDOWELL AW26 London Fashion Week show at Rambert. Titled ‘The Gaze’, the show celebrated the world of artist George Platt Lynes, fusing inspiration into a collection and show that beautifully intertwined designed movement by @harrypriceprojects with @ErlandCooper ’s beautifully designed musical score, as dancer Jonathan Luke Baker sat as a focal point in a rock in the middle of the Rambert Dance Company space. For this show, we worked with music from Erland’s ‘Folded Landscapes’ album to create a moving and artistic score that supported Patrick’s show creative beautifully. I designed the shape and structure of the soundtrack from Erland’s music and in discussion with Patrick and Erland, from which Erland then beautifully brought it to life in his London studio. On this film you will hear the tracks ‘Movement 4’ and ‘Movement 6’. Erland also designed an ambient score to play in the room as guests arrived and departed and Jonathan Luke Baker performed in the centre of the room. Thanks to Patrick for welcoming me for our third show together and to their excellent creative and production teams for a great collaboration. The occasional awkwardness of multi-language living! 🇸🇪

When renowned musician, producer & songwriter @andreas_k_soderlund (aka @hyena_the_producer ) asked me if I might want to contribute some spoken word vocals to his latest project, the hugely ambitious Nordic musical saga ‘Life of Jónny’, it was an immediate yes from me! I rather enjoyed screaming into the microphone for ‘Narvik’ and reassuringly acting as the airport announcer on ‘One Wish’. Have a listen to my ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ cameos in these short clips. Yesterday at the @patrick__mcdowell @londonfashionweek show we fused a beautifully vibrant mix of @erlandcooper ’s music together with recordings of @patrickmcdowell2.0 ’s grandmother to soundtrack their ‘The Lancashire Rose’ collection. We opened with the sound of Patrick’s grandmother singing ‘The Lancashire Lass’ from 1907 before blending in the wonderfully textural sounds of Erland’s ‘Holm Sound’ before adding vibrancy through rhythm on tracks including ‘Spoot Ebb’ and ‘Linga Holm’. Such a pleasure to collaborate with Patrick again and thank you Erland for allowing us to stitch your music into the show, held in the stunning Control Room A at @batterseapwrstn .
