We are delighted to announce that @patrick__mcdowell is the recipient of The Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design, which was presented to the founder and creative director, Patrick McDowell, by Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales today in London at a showcase that mirrored the designer’s atelier.
A graduate of Central Saint Martins and a previous BFC scholar, McDowell launched his label in 2018 with a mission to redefine the role of sustainability within the fashion industry. The QEII Award was launched in 2018 in recognition of the role the fashion industry plays in society and to spotlight talented designers who are leading the way in terms of sustainable practices and community engagement.
