[News] 크리스 맥카우 작가가 2026 Guggenheim Fellowship 사진 분야(Fine Arts/Photography) 펠로우로 선정되었습니다. Guggenheim Fellowship은 예술과 학문 분야의 창작자 및 연구자를 대상으로 하는 미국의 대표적인 펠로우십 프로그램으로, 작업의 성취와 향후 발전 가능성을 바탕으로 선정됩니다. 작가는 대형 카메라를 직접 개조해 필름 대신 빈티지 인화지를 넣고, 렌즈를 통해 들어온 태양광이 장시간 인화지를 태우며 흔적을 남기는 방식으로 작업해 왔습니다. 시간과 빛의 물리적 흔적을 기록하는 그의 작업은 사진의 재료성과 조형성을 독자적으로 확장해 왔습니다. 아울러 닻프레스에서 출간된 Chris McCaw의 『Marking Time』이 최근 레어북으로 전환되었습니다. 『Marking Time』은 닻프레스 웹사이트와 다크룸에서 구매하실 수 있습니다. 보내주신 많은 관심에 감사드립니다. - Chris McCaw has been named a 2026 Guggenheim Fellow in Fine Arts/Photography. The Guggenheim Fellowship is one of the most distinguished fellowship programs in the United States, recognizing artists and scholars for both their achievements and future potential. McCaw is known for modifying large-format cameras to use vintage photographic paper in place of film, allowing sunlight entering through the lens to physically burn and mark the paper over extended exposures. Through this process, his work uniquely expands the material and sculptural possibilities of photography by recording the physical traces of time and light. In addition, Chris McCaw’s 『Marking Time』 has recently transitioned into a rare book. 『Marking Time』 is available through the Datz Press website and at D’Ark Room. Developed following the loss of a family member in the Spring of 2024 and continued through a residency in Italy, the book reflects a process of moving through grief and reconnecting with the world through writing and photography. [The Photography Show 2026] 어제는 미니 리와 로니 그래험의 북 사인 이벤트를 잘 마무리하고, 오늘로 닻프레스는 AIPAD가 주최한 The Photography Show 2026을 성황리에 마쳤습니다. 부스를 찾은 관람객들과 책을 사이에 두고 나눈 대화와 시선들이 오래 기억에 남습니다. 닻프레스의 출판물을 직접 소개하고, 다양한 만남을 이어갈 수 있었던 소중한 시간이었습니다 :) 특히 휴스턴 미술관과 The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston @mfahouston 맨하탄의 사진단체 Penumbra Foundation @penumbrafoundation 에 스페셜 에디션을 포함한 다수의 닻프레스의 출판물이 소장되었습니다. 앞으로도 사진과 책을 통한 의미있는 교류가 이어지길 기대하며 다시한번 닻프레스를 기억해주시고 찾아주신 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다. [The Photography Show 2026 | DAY 2] AIPAD 2일차, 페어의 리듬이 점점 또렷해지고 있습니다.
부스를 찾은 관람객들이 각자의 속도로 책을 넘기며 오래 머무는 모습이 인상적이었습니다! 출판물과 더불어 스페셜 에디션과 책 속에 수록된 작품들까지도 자연스럽게 관심이 이어지며, 기분 좋은 흐름으로 가득한 하루였습니다. 특히 주명덕, 이정진, 민병헌, 주상연, 미니리, 조성연 등 한국 작가의 사진집이 뜨거운 관심과 반응을 얻고 있습니다! 행사는 4월 26일까지 이어집니다. 내일의 만남을 기대하며, 오늘의 모든 방문과 관심에 다시 한 번 감사드립니다 :) Day 2 at AIPAD, and the rhythm of the fair is becoming more defined.
It was especially striking to see visitors linger at our booth, taking their time with each book at their own pace! Alongside the publications, the special editions and the works featured within the books also drew continued attention, creating a day filled with a warm and positive momentum. In particular, the photo books of Korean artists such as Myung-Duck Joo, Jungjin Lee, Byung-Hun Min, Sangyon Joo, Minny Lee and Sung-Yeon Jo are receiving a lot of attention and response! ㅤ 현재 닻미술관 프레임관에서는 빌레 칸사넨 작가의 《NUMEN》전시가 진행 중입니다.
 닻프레스에서 출판한 『NUMEN』은 빌레 칸사넨 작가의 대지 작업과 그 과정을 담은 사진집으로, 이번 전시와 맞닿아 있는 작업들을 함께 다루고 있습니다. 
작가는 사막이라는 근원적인 장소를 배경으로, 돌, 나무, 밧줄과 같은 단순한 재료를 통해 자연과 인간이 만들어내는 최소한의 개입과 순간을 드러냅니다. 또한 책에 수록된 사진뿐 아니라 드로잉과 스케치, 작업 노트는 하나의 장면이 구성되고 완성되기까지의 시간을 따라가보게 합니다. 🪨프로필 링크를 통해 전시를 더욱 깊이 있게 이해할 수 있는 빌레 칸사넨의 『NUMEN』을 책으로도 만나보시길 바랍니다. Currently on view at Datz Museum in the FRAME is Vile Kansanen’’s 《NUMEN》.
 Published by Datz Press, “NUMEN” is a photobook that brings together the artist’s land-based works and their creative processes. Featuring works that were also presented in the exhibition. Set against the elemental landscape of the desert, The artist uses simple materials such as stone, wood, and rope To reveal minimal interactions between nature and human presence. In addition to the photographs, the book includes drawings, sketches, and working notes.
