This is Noodles.
She was used for backyard breeding and dumped once she was no longer āusefulā after being spayed. She was picked up as a stray, adopted out, and returned within a weekāfor doing dog things like jumping up and barking.
Weimaraners are incredibly intelligent, but they need structure and training. When I saw her on the
@colliercountydas Instagram page, I just knew I could help her. I begged my sweet husband to take me to the shelter for my birthday, and thatās where I met
@cazad and
@eleevani āthe volunteers who introduced us.
We brought her home and quickly realized she had likely spent most of her life outside, (her paws told that story). She was completely untrained and starting from scratch with an adult dog was⦠not easy.
There were moments I even questioned what I had gotten myself into (which says a lot).
But she was also sweet, full of personality, a little quirky, and endlessly lovable.
In July 2025, we officially foster-failedāand she became ours.
This year, for my 40th birthday, Iām partnering with Candace (who I met that day at the shelter) and her organization
@dashfl_org DASH (Domestic Animal Services Heroes), to host a fundraiser focused on increasing post-adoption success and reducing return rates.
Itās something Iāve seen firsthandāand it matters more than most people realize.
If this resonates with you, I would love your supportāwhether thatās liking, sharing, donating, or joining us in person.
