DK 22 March for @sunday.sessions.koncertkirken
Visual memories shot by Signe Bøttcher from a very special concert we did back in March on the first Sunday of spring.
Pianomaxxed the trio with @dariusheid on grand piano , synths and prepared upright + @filippo__deorsola on prepared grand piano
The usual suspects @ina4ro and @marco_luparia followed us along on this singular musical journey : I’m so grateful for us to be able to experience such welcoming spaces to experiment all together in sound.
A heartfelt thanks to @bernardoqtinoco for hosting myself and Marco and to Darius for welcoming Jonathan in your home. This truly means the world for us to be home wherever we meet like minded artists.
Also so much love for the whole Koncert Kirken team , who took of organising the night , feeding us and made sure that we could focus on the music coming together ! In particular thank you to PJ ( @fos_phorus ) for keeping close contact through the whole organisation since August : you’re golden 🌈
Love love love ( and spring) 💮💮💮💮

Excerpt from Album "Funkstille": Recording "Flower" in the studio.
Somehow my approach got influenced by Ikebana, the japanese traditional arts of arranging flowers. It is such a lively, vibrant, elegant art. Each flower arrangement is highly situational, and depends on where or how it is placed in the room, the architecture inside and outside, the occasion of the arrangement, the season, the location and more situational aspects. Ikebana manages to create an harmony between opposing elements, between very differently looking shapes and colors. It is spontaneous and at the same time disciplined. A certain flower arrangement only exists as long as the flower is fresh , so it is often replaced after a few days. Ikebana is all of these elements and many more. It is spontaneous, beautiful but also transient, short-termed. In other words, Ikebana might be very similar to improvisation.
