Having had some time to let everything sink in, it’s still hard to find the words to describe how incredible it was to be in Dublin on Monday evening to receive our first Michelin Star.
And to have also gained a Green Star on the very same night… truly unbelievable.
These awards are a testament to every single person involved in this achievement. From my hugely talented team to our growers, gardeners, foragers and suppliers who help us bring the Highlands to the plate with honesty and respect, this is yours as much as ours.
Our location shapes everything we do. Sustainability isn’t an add on for us. It’s our daily rhythm, our responsibility and our inspiration. To gain recognition for that, alongside the craft of our cooking means the world.
On the back of winning National Chef of the Year, and a very successful 12 months for The Torridon team, everything has aligned at the right moment and returning home with both awards has kicked off our 2026 season with a serious bang.
Proud doesn’t even come close. ⭐🌿

It’s day three of Danny’s incredible Aussie journey as part of his UK National Chef of the Year prize, and it’s a big day!
Danny’s day started early at our Murray Bridge facility, where he joined the team for breakfast before heading into a full plant tour. From the state of the art processing operation to our quality assurance standards around food safety and shelf life, Danny got to see exactly how we ensure every cut of Angus Pure that leaves our facility meets the standard our customers expect.
But the real highlight of the day? The Adelaide Oval, where Danny joined us for a stunning chef collaboration lunch at one of Australia’s most iconic venues, with our premium Angus Pure product range taking centre stage alongside some incredible culinary talent. And with the day wrapped up, Danny headed off to his next destination, taking in the iconic sights of Sydney!
There’s still more to come as part of Danny’s @craftguildofchefs National Chef of the Year journey, be sure to follow along to watch the rest of his week in Australia with us.
It’s day two of Danny’s incredible Aussie journey as part of his UK National Chef of the Year prize.
After yesterday’s time on the land at Mount Schanck Station, today Danny stepped further into our supply chain with a visit to Southern Cross Feedlot. Danny was able to see the science and care behind our Angus Pure grain fed program up close, from the thoughtfully curated feed ration to the animal welfare standards that underpin everything we do.
The team welcomed Danny with a delicious BBQ lunch before taking him through the full feedlot story, with a real focus on how quality and sustainability are built into every step of our operation.
There’s still more amazing experiences to come as part of Danny’s @craftguildofchefs National Chef of the Year journey so follow along to watch the rest of his week with us.

UK National Chef of the Year winner Danny Young has joined us in Australia to experience an unforgettable prize and learn more about the work behind Angus Pure.
From paddock to plate, we’re taking Danny through the full Angus Pure story, meeting the farmers, visiting the feedlot and processing facilities, and getting to know the people who make it all happen.
The first stop on the journey saw us at Mount Schanck Station in South Australia’s Mount Gambier region. One of the most beautiful properties in our supply chain, Danny explored our breeding operation, our approach to animal welfare, and the environment our Angus Pure cattle call home.
And how better to end the day? Danny doing what he does best – cooking. It was Angus Pure steaks for the team, straight from the property he’d just toured.
Follow along this week as we take Danny through the complete Angus Pure supply chain story.
