Fondly remembering Gabe Hirshfeld. So many things to say, I'll just say this: he more than anyone I know understood how to make a scene welcoming to everyone and how important that is. I remember moving to Boston and not really knowing anyone and Gabe was one of the first people who clued me in, made me feel a part of the scene. He would do this thing at jams where he knew what tunes you knew and would call them for you. He always wanted people to feel comfortable and knew exactly how to do that. It's one of many things he taught me. I used to look up to him so much and still do. Thanks for the example Gabe.
