Sodomy & Motorcycles; After a year in the making this collection follows the exploration of my queer identity and places it into the world of motorcycle racing that I grew up in. This isn’t a separation from that community but a celebration and bridge between many aspects of what makes me who I am. This vision and presentation of the clothing could not have been done without the help of my co creative director Kyla Rys. Partnering with her vision and photography expertise for the past year we have been working on producing something we are both proud of. I was only able to get the full affect of my vision of the looks and the whole collection through the collaborations with jewelry designer Isabella Donohue and accessories designer Gianluca Ambrosini. An honor this was, a friend who has stuck by me through high school all the way until now. From altering her prom dress to 6 years later she became my first true bridal client. Athough I didn’t make the white dress for the big ceremony, I worked with her to create four individual dresses. One for her ceremony back home in a Texas chapel, and then on to Mexico with one for getting ready for the big moment, and two for the reception after party. We started this process as soon as she got engaged while her and Alan were staying with me for a week in NYC more than a year ago. Through many designs, mock ups, visits for try ons, and editions made I am so proud of the pieces and happy to have been a part of such a big day in her life. I am so happy to share these pictures of the most beautiful bride! 💛💐🤍
