Trained in the guru-led tradition, he performed early on as a soloist and accompanist to leading Indian classical artists, developing a strong rhythmic foundation. Moving fluidly between jazz, flamenco, and Brazilian influences adapted to the tabla, his work spans concerts, theatre, and original compositions. Grounded yet exploratory, his music reflects rhythm as a refined and expressive language. During this concert, Tarang and Loek collaborate with young artists from the Dutch jazz and world music scene, performing several of his arrangements. A jam session will follow after the concert

Followers of @the_bloody_butcher have noticed the project we did together with a unique local band @amagukmusic , where he gave all three band members a haircut to promote their latest album called “Spiritual Punk Manifesto”, those that love musicians who push boundaries are not going to be disappointed when streaming/spinning this album! The face you’re lookin’ at right about now is the band’s exceptional guitar player and Rob gave him a cut before, leaving his hair quite long. So in walked Denis, with us expecting a similar request as the previous time… Little did we know he had other plans and actually wanted to take a big chunk of his hair off due to him being a boxer. This shoot made for a badass result, thanks to @danielrdenis for his modeling and the rest of the band (who got a cut as well, go to @the_bloody_butcher to see) hyping him up.
