In ‘25 I was a frequent appreciator of the sky, here are my favourite sightings throughout the year. This year I’m promising myself to try and get more acquinted with the sea. May everyone experience a peaceful 2026 🤲

Berlin, Paris & Warsaw w/ TMA I’ve joined my friends from @themidnightmovieaudience on stage during their recent series of shows. All of these were my absolute first gigs on the clarinet. A huge shout out to the boys for having me, even though I’m still quite new on the instrument. We played Phantom Bar in Berlin, @pointephemere in Paris (sold out), @klubchmury in Warsaw (sold out) and ended with @hinterraumberlin ’s final gig (sold out). I’ve met so many new people on the road the last couple of weeks. Thanks to everyone that came out to hear and see us on these dates, till we meet again!

To my liking, Pieta was well prepared and came through with a file full of usable and inspiring information for me to work with. Hence the apparent use of symbolism. “Symbol Guide” is a drawing which depicts the used symbols individually. It helps to decypher the imagery in the poster. “𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗱” Mixed media on paper. 89,1cm X 84cm This drawing was commisioned as cover art for @loveth_besamoh ’s latest EP called “Riverbed”. The only instructions that I’ve received from Loveth were to include a bird and a tree, other than these two elements I was left completely free to create a visual world around his music. After listening to all of the songs I knew that I wanted to create a highly detailed, psychedelic and symbolic work. There were some matters that I had to tackle first, the artwork needed to be delivered digitally. I tend to work 100% by hand when I do my art and when I come up with highly detailed drawings, they always end up big in size. For the best possible digital quality I found that scanning would be the best option, because I do not own a good camera and the room that I work in does not have enough light in order to take a proper picture. Knowing that the biggest possible size I could scan was A3, I came up with the idea to complete the work on 6 different A3 papers taped together. In this way I could just detach the physical work after it was finished, making it really easy to transport it and to scan the artwork as a whole! I’ve used symbolism as a reaction to the music and its titles. Right into the center, I have drawn a river, refering to the EP’s title. The colors that I used for the bird represent Loveth’s heritage, which is Cameroon. I pictured the earth on fire, acknowledging the lives, desires and suffering of the people that live on it. Then, I consiously placed a Tibetan prayer flag motif right above the earth, at the top of the drawing. These promote peace, compassion, strength, wisdom and the five elements, soothing our existence on this planet. These are some of the symbolic/spiritual aspects that I’ve used in the work, and I liked to write these down to show that when I create art, I do not go at the process at random, but I like to speak with my soul.
