Birth of a Salesman is a podcast that tells the story of Sam, a wide-eyed and good-hearted door-to-door Bible salesman struggling to find his way through the world. Along the way Sam meets a lot of friends, and even some mean enemies. He shares a few laughs and asks some big questions. We hope you’ll join Sam as he grows from Salesbaby into Salesman.

A year ago we buckled up our booties for a recording session at Zoo School Studio in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. It was awesome. We got to live fully in our art. We got to fall further in love with our collaborators. We got to sleep in the studio every night on an L-shaped sofa with the soft part of our skulls touching! And we got to lay down 9 songs we’re incredibly proud of. Recorded mostly live in about a week, we used the tools of intuition to craft a house of sound that could delicately collapse around our voices. Nowhere-to-hide felt like the right place to begin.

Big news over here: we’ve decided to commit ourselves to a new band name. From now on we represent the musical entity Why Cry.
And even bigger news: we’re spawning our first album! We’re spending a week with @_zoo_school_ in late June to make new music for your mind’s ear.
