Still buzzing!!! 🎶🎉 Last Saturday, the @nybbgb National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain gave the world premiere of my latest piece Shapeshifter... WHAT A NIGHT! The band absolutely played their hearts out under the brilliant direction of Maestro Martyn Brabbins. It was such a treat to hear the phenomenal @timdm Tim De Maeseneer smash Gregson’s Tenor Horn Concerto and my good friend @aertgeertsstijn Stijn Aertgeerts’ 'Dansul Focului' - that was pure filth, you absolute menace. I Love you 😘 So great to meet the NYBBGB composer competition winners — @will._.everitt @ninamartin_composer @ninamartin_composer and @samthackray_composition — and hear their fantastic new works 🔥 Huge thanks to my good mate @x.ellie__roseex for keeping me awake on the long drive with her relentless yapper yapper 😂 And to top it all off, we even got to meet the legends Sir Karl Jenkins and @gavhiggins What a weekend 😍 #brassband #nationalyouthbrassband #worldpremiere #composerlife

Exciting news! 🎉 I've been commissioned to write a new classical music medley that will be performed by the Swiss Armed Forces Brass Band at the Basel Tattoo! The whole medley - Force of the Swiss Soldiers - is centered around the William Tell Overture finale, also known as 'March of the Swiss Soldiers,' which is quite fitting for the band.
