History of House in Adelaide Groove Terminator & MC Scott T kicking off Chic@Cargo ago go in the early days🎶 Look closely and you’ll spot a very young MPK and GTB on the intimate Cargo dancefloor 👀 True legends of the Adelaide scene, if you were there back then, you know… and if you’re still catching them do what they do today, it’s nothing short of a privilege to see how far it’s all come❤️

Gluttony really is the Adelaide Fringe at its absolute best. Seeing Rymill Park once again completely transformed from one corner to another with talented acts ready for you to enjoy, excellent food vendors, massive bars, and this year a Sculpture Walk woven through it all… it just makes you proud of our awesome city. Gluttony’s Opening Night Gala was such a great taste of what’s to come. So much talent. So much creativity. And so many locals backing locals. That’s what I love most. Spaces like this don’t just host shows: they create a vibe, a village and along with that opportunity, visibility and momentum for artists right here in South Australia. Big congrats to Daniel Michael and Elena Kirschbaum for continuing to deliver the dream. Adelaide shines during Fringe season and Gluttony is once again THE place to be to bask in that brilliance. @gluttony_fringe @daniel_gluttony @el.kbaum @adlfringe @jajagow @sassafraspr

Super proud of the first edition of Our Sound, Adelaide’s celebration of drum and bass, which happened on the weekend in Bonython Park. Thanks to the whole team who worked with me to get this up via my music events business, @grooveeventsadl . Shoutout to all the acts - it was an awesome lineup. Check out the stories on @grooveeventsadl ’s Insta to see some of the action throughout the day in the sunshine, and under the stars as @elhornet brought it home. Stay tuned for the next outing of Our Sound!

Our Sound: Pendulum (DJ Set) & Luude - why am I so excited about this event? My DJ career started at Campbelltown High in the ‘80s, playing music – hip hop mostly - at school discos. In 1991 I turned 18, and began to play out in clubs, like Le Rox. I was drawn to the groundbreaking sounds of rave music, which was exploding in popularity in both hemispheres. It was a tumultuous year for my generation and our music. As we left school, my cohort found itself in the biggest recession in some time, and indeed Australia has not experienced anything like it since. There were no jobs. You went to uni or you went on the dole or you maybe worked casual shifts if you were lucky. We partied instead. We partied hard and often and on the cheap. We lived for the music and our friends, we lived for the rave. This new sound from the UK started to pop up: breakbeats, rough in tone and exciting in BPM, interpreted and enhanced by MCs, rich with influences from the Jamaicans who had found their way to London. Grandfathered by many, but famously by acts like The Prodigy, the sound then ran its own course. Jungle and drum and bass grew and stole my heart. (Continued in comments)

History of House’s 17-show run at Gluttony for Adelaide Fringe 2024 has now wrapped. It’s an honour to collaborate with @gt_dj , @sowetogospelchoir_live and @andrewkayassoc to bring @historyofhouseshow to so many lovers of house music, and music in general. Ever since the show was born at @gluttony_fringe in 2020, joy and connection has always been a given at these shows, as are abundant good vibes. Stay tuned for Groove Terminator and Soweto Gospel Choir’s EP dropping next month! #HistoryOfHouseShow #ADLFringe #GluttonyFringe #GrooveEventsADL
