At the centre of it all was our director, Jacqui Fifier. A dear friend, and a deeply intuitive storyteller.
She passed away last year, and I find myself thinking about her often.

Shooting a little commercial up in QLD with the wildly talented @thestringartguy — aka Ben Koracevic.
Watching his process up close is something else… thousands of nails, kilometers of string, and somehow it all resolves into these incredibly detailed, almost lifelike portraits. Patience on another level.
Kept things beautifully simple on the lighting side today — just a 2-head Godox MS60R kit and a small handheld smoke machine. That’s it. No excess. No noise.
There’s something really satisfying about stripping it all back and still landing images that feel rich, textured, and alive.
Proof (again) that you don’t need much — just a strong idea and the right energy in the room.

The day had a dramatic moment when the shark alarm sounded in the afternoon, fortunately we were safely filming on the sand and wrapped without issue. Our thoughts are with a local swimmer who was injured later that day 🤍
