The last note in the sequence gets close enough to the hi hat's resonant frequency to begin rattling the cymbal, creating a new tone from the sound of the vibrating hi hat combining with the sound from the synth. Resonant frequencies are cool. We all have them. Get too close to the wrong frequency and you could begin vibrating uncontrollably. This is a psa.
