Wauwww๐ฌ๐ช playing in @khidiclub was everything I thought it was going to be๐ซ The club is perfect for the vibe I wanted to set. I focussed on creating a lot of contrast and vocals with a message. Played breakbeat, techno (some old school), house, ambient, isolated vocals, etc.
Was super sick to see that it was received so well and it felt like I could play anything that I wanted, which is a rare feeling.
But as you can see the club was definitely not the only thing we did there. This country has so much more to offer and I would definitely recommend visiting. The people are so open, the food is great and overall itโs just really beautiful.

Today I can finally announce that this weekend I will be traveling to georgia ๐ฌ๐ช for the first time. Iโll be playing a 3hr set in a very special club @khidiclub
My connection to the Georgian scene started by meeting so many amazing people through @ines.vm_ โค๏ธ not only Tbilisi-based but Amsterdam-based too through the @behaerd team. Itโs not often you meet people who are so sweet and talented.
Therefore this gig and travel feels extra special to me.

Dan Berg grew up in a house where music had to be explained. His mother pushed him to say why he loved a track, not just that he did. His father took him to see Jeff Mills play at 18, a night that changed something.
He talks about old records, rough textures, sampling, finishing tracks, the risk of taking chances behind the decks and what studying neuropsychology taught him about how we hear. An honest conversation with someone still figuring out his sound.

Always feels great to play with this man @_madnav_ but playing the first slot at @karman.events_ was very special. Both Noud and I were very humbled to play at this legendary place. @veronicaschip_amsterdam holds a lot of history as it used to be a pirate radio station setting sail around the 60โs.
For the occasion I played 2 Drexiya tracks: black sea & c to the power โฆ (also look op the history of that group!)
Surrounded by friends it honestly felt like home to us and playing together honestly feels natural at this point. We need very minimal communication to understand what we want to bring to the night. I hope it translated!๐คโค๏ธ๐ซ

Dan Berg is an artist that we have been following for a while now after the opening of our talent stage a few years ago. Heโs been making music for a long time and after sending us this demo. We were eager to do something with it. Therefor we are proud to present a PREMIERE by Dan Berg โ Old Habits.
After a year of full year of full focus on music production, Dan has explored multiple genres, this track started out as hip-hop beat, but progressed into something, which is best described as breakbeat. It features some darker and lighter vocals which alternate whith the more melodic synth parts.
This premiere is a single track preview of his soon to be released [Old habits EP] and is now available for listening on our SoundCloud.
