Because the end of the year is just around the corner, I want to share this mix i did for @turf.event @ruis_collective @gloedmusic with you all. This marks the start of my monthly mix series, “Found Frequency.” A mix show where I showcase my latest music diggings and share the track IDs (yes, no gatekeeping here!). No rules — just love for the music. As my close friends know, I’m a real music freak, and I really hate sticking to one specific genre. That’s why I try to break the barrier of being seen as just a “techno” DJ/producer. I make and play what I feel in the moment, and in my opinion, that’s the best way to express yourself. For this mix, I’ve played 2 hours with only my own music, made over the last 1.5 years — ranging from house to techno, a little bit of dancehall, and ending with a more ambient vibe. Hope you enjoy. Ploegendienst 2025 This B2B with legend @bennyrodrigues was truly something else. I was so freaking nervous for weeks, but as soon as I touched the decks, it all turned into energy. It rained all day, but during our set, it magically disappeared. It’s true what they say about @bennyrodrigues . Thank you for being so easygoing, chill, having synced dancemoves and overall an amazing DJ. From the first minute you stepped into the booth, you made me feel so comfortable. Two hours of straight freestyle felt so natural. The scene really needs more people like you. Can’t thank you enough for doing this one with me. Let’s order some ghetto next time? 👀 Also, @bjornwolf2_aka_bjolf , I can’t thank you enough for making this happen and believing in me since day one. Things like this give me so much motivation to keep this journey going! 🥰 I brought my parents to this one. 𝗝𝗨𝗥𝗬 𝗗𝗝 Zondag 12 april is het dan zo ver, de Brabantse Voorronde!💽 Tijdens deze dag laten verschillende acts zien wat ze in huis hebben en strijden ze voor de plek op de Landelijke Finale!🪩 Deze plekken worden uitgekozen door een jury uit de industrie, we stellen ze graag aan je voor!💛 𝗔𝗻𝗚 (Angelo de Leeuw) is een dj en producer uit Breda die dansvloeren tot leven wekt met zijn aanstekelijke energie. Hij verkende diverse genres, maar vond zijn geluid in techno. Met boekingen nationaal en internationaal en meerdere releases vestigt hij zich als een opkomende kracht in de elektronische muziekscene. Als medeoprichter van @ruis.collective zet hij zich in voor samenwerking tussen jonge elektronische creatieven. 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗲 vormt haar sound als dj sinds 2015, met diepe, hypnotische en percussieve techno, en heeft evenveel liefde voor vinyl als voor digitale sets. Ze is een vertrouwd gezicht op Draaimolen Festival, resident dj bij PAX-ROMANA en stond achter de draaitafels in clubs als De School, Tresor en Bassiani. Naast haar optredens geeft Julie al meerdere jaren les aan jong talent tijdens de dj-workshop 'Draaisessies' van R-Newt Jongerenwerk. 𝗪𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘆 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗴𝘂𝘆 is een dj die niet meer weg te denken is uit de Bredase scene. Als vaste dj bij Bricks hiphop ondersteunde hij al vele lokale talenten tijdens diverse optredens en projecten. Breda’s eigen AnG is al sinds dag 1 onderdeel van KlubCafé. Met zijn energie, feeling voor de crowd en brede liefde voor genres als techno, house, ghetto en hiphop weet hij iedere keer weer vuur in de zaal te krijgen. Hij gaat lekker! Extra mooi om van zo dichtbij te zien hoe zijn reis zich blijft ontwikkelen. Hij gaat 11 April “All Night Long” Dat betekend 6 uur lang layeren en 🌶️🌶️, zo lang de GROOVE er maar in zit 😉

Over the past week I gave myself a challenge to make multiple tracks out of one self-made bass sample (last slide). I used two versions of the bass sound: a Reese-bass version and a chopped-up version. I wanted to see how you can change the overall vibe just by using drums and lots of FX. Very happy with the outcome.
