This year’s programme is presented in partnership with @shermantheatre . The programme’s second-year bursary scheme will reopen shortly to facilitate individuals from across the sector to attend the festival to forge new connections, see international work first hand and champion Welsh creative voices on a global stage. I loved #theotherbennetsister. It’s so smart, refreshing and joyful. I love how they managed to make a man’s forearms and wrists in a game of Graces as alluring as anything I have seen on TV (@donal.finn ). It’s brilliantly feminist without being didactic; clever and populist, literary and mainstream. I am such a fan of @ellabruccoleri - she’s just wonderful. You care deeply for her all the way. Excellent casting too. A really moving @mrryansampson as Mr Collins; inspired @ruthjonesgenuine as an alternative Mrs Bennet; a delicious @tanyaloureynolds as Caroline Bingley; and @indiravarma playing a delightful goody - to name a few. My soul’s craving sophisticated Romcoms right now - so thank you @bad_wolf_tv for this one!

I mean! Gives you hope, right?! Absolutely glorious. What happens when artists are given the space to speak. And we’re allowed to sit and breathe in their wisdom. Laugh at the edge of the profound. Plus, my god - how I wanted to be in Neighbours too. I even learned to play ‘Suddenly’ on the harp. Well Team Lost Boys, you’ve only gone and won an Emmy! Testament to all the hard work and love poured into the show. Wish you could have all been here too. Also want to take a moment to acknowledge anyone in the LGBTQ+ community who is struggling. And all the adopters, foster carers and social workers changing lives around the world. This belongs to all of you. #internationalemmyawards

It is with a heavy heart that I share this news today. @ducksoupfilm are ceasing active development and production from January, 2026. They are amazing. They are an exceptional company, and remarkable humans. My dear collaborators and friends. But sadly, this reflects the state of the industry - where those who care about how they make work, and the type of stories they want to put into the world to make it a better place, often can’t survive. As the ducks say: “Maintaining an indie focused on bold, authored content in today’s climate is increasingly untenable for a small company like ours. We simply don’t have the resources to sustain our work as producers developing in-house at the level we aspire to, and the market will no longer support it.” Without their spirit, art, rigour and compassion, Lost Boys would not have had the success it had, and continues to have. Behind the awards (and the expense they entail for nominees) was a company battling to survive with grace and dignity. I will continue to work with them in all the ways I can, but for now, I want to acknowledge I wish things were different, and I love you @ducksoupfilm and all that you stand for. /news/duck-soup-decides-to-close-its-doors/

Diolch yn fawr @rts_yorkshire ! To be honoured in this way on @ducksoupfilm home turf means a lot (not to mention Yr Hen Ogledd!) Congratulations to all the other nominees and winners especially #siondanielyoung and @catjoneswriter . I was gutted to miss this one, but hopefully was forgiven given the theme of the show, as it’s one of my kids’ birthdays 🤣 But the ducks were out in force!

Oh what a night. For everyone who worked on #lostboysandfairies. So proud of you all. Diolch, diolch, diolch i bawb. And to win 5 BAFTAs in wales, to be recognised by Cymru and its people, on a night we recognised the great @russelltdavies63 too (what a speech and call to arms) is special indeed!
