These five artists live and work in our neighbourhoods as people we may recognise as a familiar dog-walker, a regular at the corner café, or simply a “good neighbour”. Through functional objects and considered craftsmanship, the exhibition presents works that feel personal and lived-with, as though gathered over time from friends and neighbours.
Open Thu - Sun
10am to 4pm
at Whitlam Display Village
An exhibition in partnership with @belcoarts and @suburbanlandagency

Whitlam Display Village, 3 Klaus Moje St Whitlam
A printmaker, a glassblower, a ceramicist, a wood carver and a knifemaker come together in Good Neighbour, a group exhibition celebrating local makers and the quiet creative lives unfolding around us.
Good Neighbour connects objects to the people who made them, foregrounding stories of process, skill and care embedded in everyday making. The exhibition reflects how creative communities often share knowledge, labour and generosity, slowly building collections within our homes that carry meaning through use.
The artworks in this exhibition are made to be held, used, lived with, and proudly shared with others. In owning any one of these objects, you would be proud to say, “my neighbour made this.”

This bowl is the result of two days spent talking technique, swapping stories, learning and laughing with @thesilverduck
At an abandoned quarry site south of bristol. The beauty of handmade objects is that the can carry the memories and experiences tied to the making, and this bowl is full of very special memories.
Aside from being the jumping off point for a whole new line of enquiry, this bowl will always hold those experiences. Thank you Charlotte.

This video has been in the works for a little while (I snuck off overseas for a bit!), but it’s finally here! A behind-the-scenes look at Dan Venables (@d_venables ) absolutely whacking the hell out of some steel 🔨🔥. What a beast, and an incredible artist to boot. Always a pleasure to work with you and watch your process in action!
(Dan, looking forward to catching up when you’re back from your own adventures 😃)
It’s been a couple of weeks since my last post. I’ve just returned from an amazing trip through France and Spain, soaking up the architecture, art, and atmosphere (and probably a few too many tapas). Feeling recharged, inspired, and ready to dive back in, with some exciting new client projects on the way.
