Happy 17th @brodburger ! You make us proud (and hungry, and then really full) to be Canberran. We wrote a story all about this little business that could, and here’s our trip down memory lane…
Is this the cutest yoga experience in Canberra? Our Online Editor @erinjoancross attending a yoga session with @yogapaws_ and says it was the most wholesome way to start the morning.
Consider this your sign to book a session!
It might be goodbye to Matt Moran, but it’s hello to a laid back Italian enoteca, @curiosawinebar which is up and running where Compa used to be. Cheeky, casual and serving snacks and substantial plates for whatever mood you’re in, it’s got an inviting vibe and excellent pasta!
We tried Canberra’s first Microformer Lagree studio and safe to say…our muscles are still recovering.
At first glance, Lagree could look like Pilates. But it only took about 30 seconds on the Microformer for us to realise that this is a whole different beast.
Slow, controlled movements that somehow make every muscle in your body start trembling. This shake is the goal.
The Forme Method in Turner delivers a 40-minute full-body Lagree workout that combines strength, endurance, cardio, and flexibility, all while staying low-impact and incredibly grounding. It’s intense, but in a focused, deliberate kind of way.
The semi-private format also means there’s nowhere to hide – your form gets corrected, refined, and challenged the entire time (lovingly, of course).
Thank you, Michelle – the class left us feeling equally humbled, sculpted, and mentally reset. If you’d like to feel the same, perhaps Lagree is for you.
Renders can show you a home. A display home lets you live in it for a little while.
If you’ve been dreaming about a new home, @kolakliving ’s two Whitlam residences are open to explore.
Step inside the single-storey Aspen Lux, with its serene neutral palette and sliding doors that dissolve the line between inside and out, and the Teakwood, an architecturally designed double-storey entertainer’s delight with Elba Marble countertops and skylight-drenched living spaces.
Stop imagining what your home could feel like and start experiencing it at the SLA Display Village in Whitlam. Both homes are open from 10 am to 4 pm, Saturday through Wednesday.

From the boys who brought a new vibe to Erindale with @thevalleypub comes Gungahlin’s newest gastro pub, @palmerscbr
Spacious and family-friendly, the food is generous and elevated above usual pub grub. Grab a mate and sneak in before happy hour (between 4-6pm) ends, and please try a taco, you won’t be dissapointed!
Eddie’s Organics is a new Canberra café and grocer that you’ll want to make your regular. It’s built on great coffee, wholesome organic food and product.
The space has a whimsical charm to it. With hand-picked antiques, op shop treasures, and in-house bakes that make you feel like you’re in a rom-com movie montage.
Behind it all is Eddie, whose warm and generous energy has earned him a loyal following across every place he’s ever worked.
Opening this Thursday 14 May at the Pearce shops.
@7cutzsteakhouse is the city’s luxe new meat-centric restaurant, promising flame-grilled goodness served in sumptuous surrounds.
Located on Bunda Street, this is high-end dining but with a very broad menu to suit all tastes.
We love the luxurious leather banquette seating and warm lighting, as well as all those private corners in which to enjoy an intimate dinner.
Please order the creamiest buttery mash to go with your tomahawk…
HerCanberra Online Editor @erinjoancross is heading to @afcaustralianfashionweek - and she's doing it Canberra style.
